Congolese Music / Re: Fally Ipupa - 100 (clip officiel)

It's sad for the genre but Kudos to him as he has found a niche that works for him. But am sure he is experiencing identity crisis issues (whether to refer to himself as a rumba artist or French R n B artist).

The way I see it, I don’t think he feels he has anything to achieve or prove when it comes to rumba genre as he’s one of the best in it…it’s all about getting out of your comfort zone and challenging yourself which I applaud him for or any other artist who tries to go this route. We might bash him for it but he’s making it work

imagine ya jossart going like mopao and trying some afrocongo/afrobeat with that nasal voice of his  :D :D :D :D :D

Ya Jossart with his one smile and zero interview per year. Ekosimba te. :D :D

I agree about getting out of your comfort zone part. But my thought is basically that he seems to have 'ditched' the genre at a time when it needs artists of his stature (one of the leaders of his generation) to defend it.  Am just imagining Bob Marley if he were alive trying out Hardcore Rap music like DMX. :D

Mais eza mokumba naye te. At the end of the day it's about what allows you to put food on your table with ease.

Was this deliberate by Koffi saying at minute 03:50, "Naza na mbula tuku misatu te mais nasalaki nzembo oyo tango nazalaki na mbula tuku misatu ça veut dire ya peuple vingt ans kwa, bo compredre ngai mwa muke cote wana  ;D?"  meaning "I am not 30 years now but i did this song when i was 30 years old" now in translating mbula tuku misatu which should be 30 years, in his translation he says "mbula tuku misatu means vingt ans or 20 years". Lol

The song chemin de la vie is from the ngobila album of 1986 i think at which point he was 30 years old but sang here years later on a live concert dubbed 100% Tchatcho.

Here is a purpoted DRC Under 16 AFCON winning team member looking like a whole Papa Mobimba with a chin that has been shaving beards for years. ;D

Something to watch tonight. Vieux Kes's stories are always hilarious.

276
Heritier had really become too powerful in Maison Mere. That story of making the rest of the musicians arrive at pick up points at 8hrs meanwhile they were only scheduled to start off at 16hrs and everyone was obliged to wait for him. Lol

Rest In Peace Vieux Kes.

Who is the Moto na libandi who was being attacked by Papa Wemba at the end of the Ata Nkale song? Lol

Yet to watch this one. I remember an interview where JDT Mulopwe said Ricoco had problems with everyone in Wenge Aile Paris except with JDT but they ended up fighting at some point. Said also that for you to hang around Ricoco you have to really like him coz he is an annoying person. Lol

Inoss also said some of these guys who diss him actually get asked to take a picture of Inoss and a fan. Robinho knows what's good for his ego. :D

With Hollywood actor  Idriss Alba posting a video saying he cant wait for this album, y'all wont see the end of it. Lol
He also got Angela Bassett, Vivica Fox, and Tasha Smith to do videos too lmao.
Ah finish, we won't be drinking water after this. :D

He's in Kinshasa and has his own bands. He often makes interviews to talk about the birth of Viva La Musica.

Thank you. I will check it out. I hope Ado gets to interview Rigo Star in one of his shows?

Now i understand why and how Mutu Wazamani became the number two singer in Viva La Musica despite not being among the original singers of the group. How long did Karawa Musica last and  did they do any record together?
