Congolese Music / Re: ADO MANAGED TO CONVINCE SAVANET DEPITCHO
« on: August 23, 2020, 13:31 »
aime likes things straight and well organizedhe was the one who started wanting some structure in original wenge 4X4 werra didier could not care less with roles they were just wanting to rehearse and enjoy
the el paris guys were taking a gamble by going to zaire for kongulu's offer without passeport, without europe papers for most if not all of them so he rejected and kongulu sent him a warning message not to come to kinshasa as long as his father's face is on the bills
kongulu was cool with 4X4 until something happened about women so to punish 4X4 he supported el paris and blocked wenge's plein feux from 1992 to 1995 or 1996 then when they made peace he dumped el paris
Thanks @Archos. This makes sense. Kongulu really held a lot of people hostage during his father's reign. And this was a guy in his early 20s at the time right? ... ...In Zambia, we had a similar situation of a presidents son in the 90s who ran terror. He even prematurely ended a career of one of our national football teams best centre backs (who was part of the rebuilt national team after the 1993 Gabon disaster killed all the national team players) by shooting him in his knee after a disagreement at a night club.

But why did Aime Buanga give up El Paris so easily despite being the founder?

He wasn't liking the way Francis Kalombo tried to split the band, when he refused Kongolo Mobutu's offer to go performing in Kinshasa and for his sister's wedding. Because when they started Damien Dimonekene used to be their president and Ricoco Bulambemba the main star with his solo album Molangi Ya Malasi, being supported by Papa Wemba and alot of people coming from the Matonge-quarter (Mere Malou, etc.). They were about to prepare their group-album, but in meantime Marie Paul and co weren't happy the way they were only singing Ricoco's songs in concerts and how their band was dominated by people coming from Matonge, since that people coming from Bandalungwa wanted also to get some influence in the band. When Kongolo Mobutu saw that Aime Buanga was influencing Ricoco to not accept his offer, he brought Francis Kalombo in. Francis Kalombo would in a short time become the vice-president and quickly problems would start in the band about leadership, which were created by him and not long after that Marie Paul decided to record his own solo album Nganga Nzambe. Aime Buanga saw that he started to lose his authority and refused to participate on that album (Boss Matuta would play bass on that album). Zing Zong who was Aime Buanga's friend decided to choose Marie Paul side (That's why they gave him the nickname Moise, if you look to the albumcover Live Kinshasa '93, he's shown like a leader). They went without Aime Buanga, Ricoco, Cesar Loboko, Diva La Marquis to Zaire and a massive succes there. Then when they returned the relation of the two camps became worser and concerts of them in Europe were like two bands were performing. Then on a point, the band split with Ricoco and Aime Buanga on one side along with JF Ifonge, Diva La Marquise, Cesar Loboko and co having Damien Dimonekene as president and as name Wenge Aile Paris. The one of Marie Paul, Zing Zong along with Jus d'Ete Mulopwe, Savanet Depitcho, Ya Yuyu, Rento Vena, Collegien, Maradona and JDL on the other side with Francis Kalombo as president and as name Wenge El Paris.
Thank you @Mfumu Vata. But the next question is why Aime Buanga did not want the Kongolu Mobutu offer of Aile Paris touring in Kinshasa. Wouldn't anyone jump at that offer at that time given the monies that would accrue knowing that the promoter is the son of the president. And why is it that Kongolu wanted to promote Bana Paris instead of Wenge 4*4 I thought he was their main man at the time with his name mentioned in all their songs at the time.

apart of the fact they became too much big egos and stars in a same group and had to split in two groups one behind marie paul depitsho, one behind aime and ricoco, aime seems naturally like that he does not hang on to things which can explain his irregular career,he seems in constant need of change unlike guys like jb or werra who had it clear that they would fight to become strong leaders and stay in that until their last breath
aime on the other hand does not mind at all having to try something else, blaise bula is a bit like that too, they are not obsessed with music and success
imagine blaise is in kin,but doing music is still not his first job,he is director of a restaurant and music hall and spends most of his time in that
I see. The laid back, good guy type of personality rarely make it big in Congolese music. Because I think if being in Europe was the reason for abandoning Wenge 4*4, he had no other reason for not cementing his position in original Aile Paris apart from what you have explained.

You can't win against a kid half your age and whose fan base is composed of teenagers.
Lol. Inoss'B himself said to Papy Mboma in that previous interview (not the last one) that if you are saying my music is for kids, then get worried because those "kids" are the majority and that means I will be here for a long time since am in their age cohort.

Congolese Music / Re: LES JOUR LE PLUS LONG ALBUM

No, I don't think so. The conflict his children, ex'wives and Emeneya's brothers got about the royalties of This is Me is to complicated. Otherwise they would have released a long time ago. I also dont think that Joly Mubiala would be happy with that album, because there's a song where Emeneya sings about heritage (biloko nioso ya bana).
So the issue of the WILL was not sorted out after the staff of King Kester were accused of altering it? And who has custody of the the same album? Is it the children, Joly Mubiala or the producer?
