Me with sans lunette.

guys in the longer version of the interview blaise explained that he could not do promotion himself because he might breach contract, surely their contract was that he sings then they make a promotion plan which he has to stick to according to the rules agreed, now what happened is that the promotion plan was not done let alone respected it seems, only effort which was done is the clip alexandrine which was for the wife of the producer,so he can only do promotion with their permission and their budget like they promised
@Archos Blaise should have gone ahead to do promotion on his own since by law the producer breached his end of the deal, so the contract would be rendered null and void if Blaise declares a dispute based on that fact. I think he is just scared of the court processes and stress that come with such issues of breach of contracts. Otherwise, he has a strong case against the producer.

Sad for Ya Montana. Met him last year when he came on 'tour' in Zambia. Such a humble man. He managed to perform in two towns but couldn't perform in Lusaka because the promoter messed up the promotion of the show... I feel for the musicians once their fame drops. Is he settled in Kin or Poto?

Congolese Music / Re: REVIEW- FALLY IPUPA AT THE APOLLO....
« on: July 17, 2019, 16:44 »
Ah Fally. It's good that this review is coming from someone as neutral as @Matebu. I have always said it's one thing to do one or two cross over songs (so called world music) in a rumba album but it's another thing for someone who gained fame for a certain genre to completely abandon it for another. From where am standing, it seems to me that Fally was not interested in releasing a rumba album after Tokoos he was basically forced by the hard core fans that's why he did that Control album but still goes on promoting songs from Tokoos album whenever on tour. So I guess people gotta get used. Sad to read such reviews from someone widely regarded as one of the leaders of his generation. The only thing going for him now is that his direct competitors are not in a position to tour places such as Europe so he has an edge.

yeah he is releasing in september normally he is just finalising some clips at the moment and some deals about distribution since every of his albums were badly promoted but luckily had one or two hits which self promoted
Ah I can't wait. This one I am doing the countdown. Hope it doesn't disappoint, but the indications so far are promising. I always listen to Silikoti (Mama Leki).

Congolese Music / NEW STUFF: JDT MULOPWE - ANCIEN DEMON
« on: July 15, 2019, 17:49 »
Some nice rumba from Pa Poppy. I like the way it starts, wish it maintains that temple for a larger part of the song, however, not bad at all, this is actually better than most recent rumba releases me thinks.

@Archos i have been seen some postings about the Imminent release of "Ganga Film" album. Are we finally getting the long awaited album from Ya Jacky?

Talks about his upcoming project in Angola with Equaliser. Am i the only one who thinks that Geco told the journalists to interview him at the same so that you have those multiple micro's like in a case were you interviewing a VVIP and waiting for a "Breaking News" from the interviewee. Aaah Geco aza mystic.  ;D

The rhythm of the song before the sebene is similar to that of Werrason's "Augustine" song at some point. Who inspired who here?

Is he now settled in France?

Congolese Music / Re: FERRE GOLA's recent rep
« on: July 09, 2019, 15:31 »
@JV you are right about the choruses. I like the way they did the chorus for the Pourqoui tu m'a fait ca song "Na mokili tour atour eeeh, lelo ya yo lobi moninga papa, Lelo ya yo lobi ya Blandine Tondila". Good to see that Maty De Gaul, Rhize ya Gola et al have settled back in after their short hiatus from the group.

Congolese Music / Re: DID TITINA ALCAPONE SING IN THIS SONG?
« on: July 03, 2019, 11:06 »
Wow. I have been doubting all along, i thought it was someone else but then JB shouts his  name at that minute. Great pure mabanga song. How they even pulled it off is remarkable. Is this also Mulongeshi's concept?

Congolese Music / DID TITINA ALCAPONE SING IN THIS SONG?
« on: July 03, 2019, 10:14 »
Was that Titina singing on the vocal "Kokende poto ezali synonym ya kokota Mokonzi ya lola te. Kokende poto ezali synonym ya kokoma mondele te?"

(Chipmunk version)

That includes Fidelite de amour and Le representant? Beautiful rumbas these were.
