Congolese Music / Re: ORIGINAL SATELLITE CRIE BY BRIGADE

Brigade always gets his cries stolen lol. The same thing happened with Monde Arabe

Not gonna lie, he has a few decent shows in that 2011-2013 period. But VERY few...

243
Oh ok cool, they still had a few months on Effrakata

244
Of course but it’s actually a good and solid album and it didn’t deserve to flop the way it did, I actually love it all songs are top notch and let’s not forget the album was about maturity which they sounded. If it was released in 2000 it would’ve been better received, but of course they didn’t start touring and recording till the end of 2000.

Yeah you might be right about that. Was it released in late 2001? Same period as Effrakata?

245
It's easy to think that way now because the album is top notch if you compare it to the stuff we've gotten recently. But it was definitely a lower tier album in the period it came out.

What happened to the kora awards?

247
Thanks! I've been looking for this album. Dont know why it isn't on streaming platforms

Formidable was such a disappointment that I lost most of my excitement that I had for the band

Compteur A Zero was FIRE

Those who were living in DRC and who had a tv in their house were lucky for having followed the whole show from the start until the end. (songs like Papito Charme, etc.)

They really performed that song? All this time I thought we had all the content from the concert. I really loved the first part of that song!

I saw back in the days mamale, bouro, depitcho dancing on the sebene of it in a VHS made by Zacharie Bababaswe and Koffi's dncers watching to it in Koffi's house. It must be the full footage of the concert filmed by Theophile Badoana's team before bringing it to the Ecoutez Voir-studio to modifie it with Jean-Pierre Pasquet and make the VHS-version that we know.

Wow that makes me wonder how much unreleased material koffi has in the vault at his house. He needs to release all of it!

Was that part not in the CD version?

1. Kibuisa Mpimpa
2. V12
3. TH
4. Prudence
5. QEDT
6. Droit Chemin

QL of course. A better comparison would've been 2001-2003 WMM vs 2001-2003 QL. I would say they were pretty even there.

Congolese Music / Re: the worst generic in your opinion
« on: April 08, 2020, 00:55 »
I kinda like the 2nd abracadabra generique until cindy comes in and ruins it at the end. I might go ahead and edit that part out so I can fully enjoy it lol

Also ferre gola's generiques sounded a lot better when he performed them with extended sebene in concerts from 2008-2013-ish
