Congolese Music / Re: SNOOP DOG DANCING TO KOFFI OLOMIDE
« on: March 19, 2018, 17:56 »
iekie yea, the person who did the editing did a good job
Wait you actually thought it was real

Haha, no I was waiting to see who would point it out since edit was good.. No way Snoop would ever select the 2006 Bataclan concert and post himself dancing to it for his rap music fans  :D

Lol that's exactly what I wss thinking

For me Quel est Ton Problem would've been the best if it had way more songs.

I don't really think tidal or these other streaming services have a good African music audience if I'm correct. So maybe this happens with a lot of African albums

34
We are looking for the high quality version which isn't available on any streaming services.

The first 3 minutes were great, the rest was really meh

Bought the album. I would give it a 7/10. I was surprised that the album was 90% sebene. But don't let that fool you. Despite having some really good and classic parts, it was quite repetive as it retained that same monotonous brazza sound. It had so much potential but I feel like they were too scared to go all out and be innovative.

Bercy single handedly ruined this generique

Why are these effrakata/force de frappe era concerts so rare to come by? Did they not perform as much?

Congolese Music / Re: Fally Ipupa

Totally agree with paysan congolaise. As a guy born and raised here in the states, Americans will always be bias and ignorant to their music. Fally seems like he is trying to win that audience over and it will never work. Just make the best music you can your way and if it happens to be popular around the world then it will happen naturally.

41
Lol that is the weirdest trend. Good thing guys like Fally stayed in shape.

I loved the way Bouro Mpela, Lola Muana, Soleil & Fally sung the vocals, especially that of Soleil's. He was really skinny back in the days. I guess that he used c4 like many other people to become fat. Bouro's voice was overshadowing Lola Muana voice in the chorus. Gypson is more relaxed in the chorus this time, maybe because that the chorus of Roissy relaxed. I think that Koffi recruited Papy Jah to cover Gypson and Lola Muana in the chorus. So sad that Soleil, Gypson scared him away, just because they didn't want to compete against him.

Why would Soleil want to become fat?
