Congolese Music / WHAT IS THE STATE OF CHOREOGRAPHERS???
« on: August 16, 2016, 22:30 »
A lot of times except for the case of Lambio Lambio, Mulala and Trezeguet, Gabbana where he was in 'S Grave and now in Wenge, it is really hard to know who gives the choreography of the songs, and for the choreographer to get credit for the popular dance they create. So what is the state of the choreographers, in the Orchestras and how much credit they get? And bosses pay their rights as they do dance that can drive an Album to success???.

For JB like I said before, we know that Mulala and Trezeguet are the guys puting movement,

Mulala from the minute 4:02 until the end ( I never seen Mulala sad :D)

Trezeguet at 1:06

For Gabbana, he invented the dance of the last crie in Faux Mutu Boye in minute 7:30 until the end, by the way Faux Mutu Moko Boye in terms of Choreography is brilliant, check the representation of the born of a baby bird from 2:05 until 2:14

and the Musselu Dance by Lobeso

From 8:33 on the Papy Kakol Song

Lambio Lambio is history in terms of choreography he gave a lot of dance to Papa Wemba, you can see him here
on the 2:07 next to Papa Wemba

Kene Kene Mangasa is an atalaku who did his time in Wenge MMM from 2004 until 2006, and to me he was really good but really had few chance to shine except  in Temoignage where he had space to perform a little bit of his talent including the song temps perdus where he show the crie that brought him in Wenge in the 4:47 minute until the 5:57

I really felt bad when I knew he left, I think that even though Mayi Ya Sika had a huge success, his impact in the album with Lobeso, Diego and Brigadiera at their finest form would have been huge, like a second solola bien.
What also hadn't contributed to the showcase of his talent is that he came just after Bill so people of course would make comparison between him and Bill a little bit unfairly.
Here is a little list of his time in Wenge

10:38 (Miss Margo - Alerte Generale)

1:58 - 2:34 , duo with Roi David and then 7:58 - 8:51 (Temoignage)

7:55 - 8:26 (Sous Sol)

(Primus Ad)  1:23- 2:15 (Duo with Roi David)

5:32 (Duo with Roi David and then solo) (Sans Coeur - Temoignage)

Congolese Music / EAST CONGO REALLY LOVES WERRA & WMMM
« on: August 13, 2016, 23:32 »
At the first seconds of the video I thought it was a 2004 video, but it turned out to be really recent, and from the first seconds you see the roar for Kakol and Werra, and at 6:13 when Musselu came the place was on fire. Even though is old is always a pleasure seeing your Orchestra receiving this much love.

Congolese Music / WHAT A HELL IS GOING ON IN CONGOLESE MUSIC???
« on: August 13, 2016, 21:24 »
Lately Congolese music is starting to become more known for what happens outside than for the music itself,
Kabuya drunk and with ass hanging out in the streets, Leader Espoir turned out to be an ungrateful and liar baby, and by the other side after 20 years the fact that Koffi beats his dancers has come out, and now we see Férre refusing her own daughter over some girl just because he married her.
WHAT A HELL IS GOING ON WITH CONGOLESE MUSIC? When the music left the space to kindoki, bad heart, and all this kind of dirty tricks and dirty behaviour?
Even though Tabu Ley and Franco weren't saint, they always tried to compete in a correct way, without doing too much bad to theirselves and being respectful to everybody outside the music, King Kester, the same he wasn't a saint, but I never heard someone complaining about his behaviour outside of music, you go with Zaiko the same, it seems like from Koffi and after people in Congolese music think they are God and they can do whatever they wants without thinking to the consequences.

They start with a song of old Wenge, but that can't be hear because of the poor quality of the sound, then Abel says that in BDM he put a song, and suddently starts to say they that a lot of bands started to copy Wenge and have their own Abel de Charme, and even though those Orchestra try to "steal" his charme, they look like Ngadiadia (A really famous comedian) is singing (a clear reference to Nicodem). Then Chef Coutumier is asked the reason of his name, but after a not really clear answer he starts to sing.
Metrau is asked why is being called efface le tableau (erasing the board) he says that the first guy who called him like that was our friend Trezeguet Selemba and he was called like that, because his skills and is voice were so good, that of course some guy had to be erased or has to be pushed back, he sings the 1st vocal that let him enter on Wenge and starts to make a really good vocal of Aimelia on Djodjo Ngonda, with Abel and Chef doing JB's parts.
Tolbert Solo's moment arrives and he is asked with all the oldies, and the really good soloist came from Wenge, how could he being this young, to be able to play in such a good way and having a lot of space in Wenge, he says taht the main reason is "Gran Pretre Nzambe" (Big Boss God), and then he is really happy that Ya Fifi Carre (Maitre Fi-Carrè) blessed him as heir.
And they start singing a mix of their respective songs of Balle De Match

Congolese Music / DAVIDO GUITARRIST OF FERRE GOLA INTERVIEW
« on: August 11, 2016, 19:06 »
He says that Férre was the guy he always liked since his times in Wenge and as soon as he left, he hoped to be in Férre Gola's team.
When he wanted to make a test, some guys told him that to be a part of Férre Gola's orchestra he needed to give money for spiritual help, but he didn't care about what the guys told him and answer back that he would have play the best guitar ever and Férre would took him.
Férre in the middle of the rehearsals, with new singers he took (over a 100), sees him and tell him to come and try, at first he was a little scared but then a laugh of Férre gave him the power to play and as soon as he starts to play a fan slaps him 2000 $ on his head. At the end Férre tell to all the singers to go away because he decided to take only him the guitarist.
Then the journalist asks him if there has been any rivalry with Markhaouzi, he then adds that there isn't been one and it will never be because Markhaouzi goes in a way and he goes in another way. He doesn't fear to be left behind where the tour will arrive because if you know your job Férre and all the leaders will know your valor and will give your spot, he finishes that he is very excited about the upcoming album and he is sure that his partition will be a massive success.
