Congolese Music / WE MUST BE HONEST« on: April 11, 2021, 20:27 »Honestly there are a lot of Ndombolo artist who still makes great music but we don't support their work enough, we think too much about the Fallys The Ferré's, Werra etc. But forgot that there are a miriad of guys who still do Ndombolo and get unnoticed if we don't support small artist how can we complain about Ndombolo not going forward when people are releasing music but we aren't supporting? 261
Congolese Music / WHAT THE HELL WAS JB THINKING HERE« on: April 06, 2021, 06:40 »10:29 Basically JB himself take the mic and introduced a crie that in Lingala says "KiNdumba Mama na yo, Ambience Koko mayo, Kuluna o Kufa... Omoni ba suki" which means your mom is a h*e, Ambience Koko mayo is difficult to translate is like saying the Vibe of your grandpa, then he wishes for Kuluna to die and say Have you seen they have finished, why was he so angry what was happening at the time for making him sing this crie? 262
Congolese Music / I MISS THIS KIND OF CHARISMA« on: April 01, 2021, 22:00 »Yes Bill, Celeo, Gents, Brigade etc are great Atalakus but Roberto Ekokota man it was something else 4:37 The iconic yeeeeee always made you want to dance no matter the age no matter the place even if I was very little there aren't a lot of Atalakus if not any who can make.me jump and dance like Ekokota did the mix of enthusiasm and charisma Ekokota had in his voice was something else, to you there are artists who have matched his charisma? And no Bill is not one of those artists. Even though Bill is extra famous I think Werra give him way more space then needed because at the end of the day despite people living him and copying him Bill hadn't the same impact of Ekokota, Wenge Musica Bill Is yes I will say it overrated when it comes to the greates Atalaku of our era. To me the only Atalaku who could match Ekokota charisma was Kila.Mbongo because much like Ekokota it was really hard to stay stiff and not dance at Kila.Mbongo's cries but with that said to me Ekokota is unmatchable 263
Congolese Music / THIS SONG IS SO UNDERRATED« on: March 29, 2021, 17:46 »In 7 Jours I guess people were so focused on the Générique that they forgot this song, this is a mix between Mongo drums and Electronic instruments much like Innoss would have later do with Yo Pe And Olandi 264

Congolese Music / WHERE IS DIEGO MUSIC?« on: March 25, 2021, 17:19 »46:35 Where is Diego Music now? Here he says that he sold 50 thousand CDs of Mayi Ya Sika if I am not mistaken what I wanted to ask is are those examplaire money going to him? And if not what percentage he took? Is he still in business with Werra? Or he left music? Does he and Werra still have good relationships? 266
Congolese Music / IS IT ME OR LUXEMBOURG TECHNIQUE WAS REALLY BASIC?« on: March 25, 2021, 17:15 »From 42:39 you can hear he is missing to get some chords and sometimes even when Brigade present the new dance you can see that he is really missing the notes but Werra seems to be impressed despite the execution of Luxembourg',s own creation being subpar, Now I understand what people were saying when they said that Luxembourg was overrated he was at least in the technical point. I prefer to call him Luxembourg rather than Kimbangu since Kimbangu is a name of a very serious and important prophet of us in RD Congo so to call a guitarist like him Kimbangu knowing he does spiritual stuff which harms people and are closely connected to the devil to me it is Blasphemy with that said Luxembourg was overrated 267
Congolese Music / 3 MONTHS BEFORE ARAFAT DIED THIS INTERVIEW AIRED... WOW« on: March 17, 2021, 11:57 »The interview aired in 28th of may of 2019 and Arafat died 12 August 2019 Now for the backstory a good good Ivorian friend of mine told.me about what Arafat did which is to have a pact with the devil for 10 years of success plus adding to that the death of one of his family members or close friends, I believed him because I knew how also Congolese musicians are often involved in that stuff, so today I decided to watch an old interview I saved some days ago who had a weird title which is: I almost sold my soul to the devil. I have opened the video and if you can forget the annoying interviewers who try to mock and humiliat the guest this guy who was a Zouglou artist said that he had a really great voice but he was struggling to reach Ivorian and International success, he saw people with less talent then him and less lyrical ability then him succeed and get the praise he was looking for, Somet Romain this is the name of the interviewed had lost his parents at 15 and of course became homeless and had nowhere to go that's why he saw Music as his way out of poverty, man so many lost life because our African states don't care about orphelins and poors you almost want to cry knowing how many artists have fucked themselves over cause they were extra poor, with that said, Somet started to seen certain successful artist doing the same things like using always the same type of shoes washing themselves with the same towel etc. so one day he asked one of the artists why he was doing those things and the artist said "Because my Marabout said so" so Somet understood that he had to go to the sane Marabout to get that level of success, they gave him the address of the Marabout in Benin through an intermediary and basically once he went there the female Marabout told him the conditions, first he asked Somet if he was ready to do it all for success and Somet said he had nowhere near the understanding of what the conditions were do the Marabout finally told him that the condition were two to get the international success he wanted: either to give someone of his family (so kill him or her) or to not have children forever. Now I am at work I will end the translation once I am back 268
Congolese Music / JV'S FAVOURITE ATALAKU DROPPED A NEW SONG« on: March 16, 2021, 22:17 »Pitain, Pitain Pitain De Merde Pitakn Acide Wanzambi is back guys lol 269
Congolese Music / THIS SEBEN HAD SOUCH ENERGY AND IT STILL HAS« on: March 12, 2021, 17:09 »3:28 Man That aggressiveness, that anger on which Kapaua plays is unmatched I don't know why Kapaya hadn't played more songs like this in A La Queue Leu Leu and in other albums because with the supposed Werra's brother Ladins Montana the Sebene were way more aggressive than his work with Werra, why that? 6:03 By the way Détournement Seben has to be one of the best in regarding Bill's part but to be homest I didn't felt Celeo a lot in this song I think Werra should have made Celeo make something more aggressive like here in Kibuisa Mpimpa 5:58 where he sang KiVutukidi and Nga Na Lembi who were cries the Celeo style but sang in a way more aggressive way. So why Kapaya hadn't played like he played for Ladins Montana in Werra's album? 270
