Congolese Music / Who actually thought that this album was recorded in Europe?« on: June 03, 2020, 17:28 »
Four years ago I heard this album and I thought it was recorded in Europe when they were touring. Turns out it was recorded in I.A.D. in Congo Brazzaville and Souzy Kasseya mixed in the studio Ange Music which is in Paris along with Komba Bellow who played the splash cymbal just like the Kompa band.

Congolese Music / Back when Zaiko drummer Belobi Meridjo played drums for Choc Stars« on: April 30, 2020, 12:27 »
These songs were probably recorded back in 1989 or 1990 in Belgium with original animation cries being muted or deleted along with Meridjo being the drummer. Then somewhere in 91' or 92' Ditutala and Petit Synya recorded new animation cries in the studio I.A.D. in Brazzaville the animations can be heard on the album Bakuke.
Songs Mon Ami, Mpenzi and l'Amour Est Cruel were recorded in Europe and they invited Meridjo to play the drums and it was Carlyto as it last moments. And I have a theory the band was divided with some members being in Paris and the others in Brussels. 39
