Debaba did Carlyto dirty

Ditutala explaining how he started with Bahumbu-folklore (Humbu people is the original tribe of Kinshasa) and leading guys like Nono Monzuluku, Djerba Mandjeku, etc. and his time in Choc Stars.

He is after Chrisitan Zitu, Wenge’s second rhythm player. He played rhythm in the albums Bouger Bouger (aka’ Mulolo) and Live! (Remix album of Mulolo). But he didn’t get the chance twice to travel to Europe with them while being the brain behind the albums Kalayi Boeing, Pleins Feux & Kin E Bouge. He decided go to UK on his own but a few years later he got deported. He joined Wenge El Paris briefly but it didn’t really work and after Wenge’s split he joined Wenge Maison Mere, but he wasn’t really accepted there so he decided to join Wenge BCBG. However JB Mpiana was preferring the new Alba Accomapgnero. Despite missing the trip to Zénith, he recruited a bunch of guitarists, drummers and singers for JB Mpiana to form a new PPU team after that Kibens, Rio and Chai Ngenge got moved to the first team. Guys like Gessan Sakoko, Dolin Masengi, etc. were all recruited and trained by him. But after a few months Djolina felt that JB in reality didn’t want of him so he left and moved to South Africa where he became a brother in Christ for a short moment.

Congolese Music / Re: Werrason ft Chay Ngenge - Homme Qui Assure

Chai should have chosen Maison Mere since the beginning because now it is hard to blow him up as a solo artist, this song is really good

They would never accept him in Maison Mère. There’s a long list of good singers that didn’t get into the lineup of Maison Mère during the era of Ferre, Lacoste, Mabiala and co.

Blaise Bula looked happy to hear the separation between Adolphe Dominguez and Werrason.  ;D ;D ;D. He was dropped by JB Mpiana only within a year. He was probably mad that Adolphe remained still for a little longer. In this video, you can see that he was relieved to see Werra be himself now.

Btw Adolphe said that in the song Ah Bon he did with Felix Wazekwa  from 4:58 min

Awilo Longomba is posting alot of rare pics on social media. The pictures were taken in Japan '86 when he used to be a member of Papa Wemba's Viva La Musica. They gave 4 concerts in Tokyo and one in Osaka. The one in the studio was in Brussels when they were recording the album Destin ya Moto and also the picture with Gina Efonge and Wemba. Back then Gina used to have a bar in Matongé.

In 1979 they were invited for a huge music-festival in West Berlin (back then both Germany and Berlin were divided between communist and capitalist part). Bands of all continents took part to it. All musicians who were participating were receiving each day 50 Marks as allowance (without counting the money they would receive after the end of the festival). But those of Tabu Ley didn't, them getting just 5 marks each day. The Senegalese musicians who used to stay in the same hotel like them and being friends since Africa, were asking them why they never would buy coffee. Eddi Mabungu replying by saying where would they get that money. The musicians from Senegal explaining that they were paid each day 50 marks.

After the concert Eddi Mabungu confronted Tabu Ley in the bus about what he did to them, but Tabu Ley didn't say anything. They performed in East-Berlin and they weren't also paid for that show.

from 1:06:00

After the Europe-tour Eddi Mabungu left and Papa Wemba also.

Was the Palais des Congres that JB Mpiana was about to perform on 1 June 2002, the one in Paris where artists like Diana Ross, Michel Sardou, Ray Charles, Charles Aznavour, Bruce Springteen, Bob Dylan, Alcia Keys and Elton John performed ?

Or was it just the one in Montreuill where Koffi Olomidé in 2005 and Roga Roga in 2018 perform ?

"TABU LEY GRAND YANKE BOYOKA NIVEAU YA BA KANAILLES+CONTRAT 1 MOIS BAZWA NA OLYMPIA (SESKAIN MOLENGA)"

There were to much musicians in the band and Papa Wemba wasn't able to pay them all. Him touring around the world with his band Molokai, Reddy and Stino created more frustration, them thinking that he was getting alot of money and  Wemba being often invited for interviews and documentaries on the French and British television. Papa Wemba made the situation worser by at some point not informing musicians like Fafa de Molokai, Jose Fataki and co when they would perform for example in Geneva. Fans saying to them that there's a concert planned and them showing up at the last minute. Even Reddy Amisi and Stino weren't happy about the situation.

Then there was a reunion after a rehearshal and singers like Lidjo Kwempa and co asking to Papa Wemba if it wasn't better to give them 60% of the money he was getting from concerts. To solve those problems of payment and because of them the only one to release albums. Papa Wemba then hadn't released any album since Love Kilawu of 1987. All albums being that of Viva members (Reddy Amisi, Stino Mubi, Ping Pong, Joly Mubiala and co) and that of sapeurs like Modogo Gianfranco Ferre. Papa Wemba didn't react and said that he would think about it. Then they performed at Brussels and Reddy & Stino didn't show up, to show Wemba that they weren't happy about the situation. The concert went totally wrong. Papa Wemba really angry and started to shout at his musicians. After it they hold a reunion and Wemba totally attacked Stino Mubi and the rest even going far by insulting their mothers. He then said that the door is open for anyone who wanted to leave. Stino Mubi, Lidjo Kwempa, Bongo Wende, Boss Matuta, Luciana and co all leaving. This led to the creation of Nouvelle Generation. But Stino Mubi would quickly return after a few weeks (getting often attacked by Viva fanatics and Wemba's wife Amazone trying to convince him through his wife MJ Ngoyi)

Koffi her sings about a woman who is praising herself and attacking her rival after having stealing the husband of her rival. She saying that her rival needs to blame herself that the husband left because she had the monopoly since that the man build a house for her to raise the children up, but her prefering to break up. That the woman needs to stop hating on her. Adding that the husband went to her by himself and that he talks bad about his ex'wife to her. According to the woman, the guy says that his ex'wife doesn't know how to cook, that she's dirty and noisy, etc.

The way Beniko Popolipo arranged the song (rhythm, lead and bass) for Koffi, makes the song sound like an old song of Afrisa from the mid 80s. They have just to replace Koffi's voice with that of Mbilia Bel. Popolipo's contributon in the start of Koffi's solo career is underrated by musicfans since that they attribute everything Rigo Star. Not knowing that Beniko Popolipo was the key to Koffi's first 3 albums (Ngounda, Laby Bo and Diva) by playing rhythm, lead and bass all by himself. Koffi being afraid for Zaiko and crediting him sometimes on a different name (Saint Polo) on the credits.
