@Captain, Thanks for informing me about the cause of the situation. How did Koffi got into the Fally Ipupa and Nicky situation.

Koffi got into it by a audio call recording of Sandra Kazadi and Nicky Menga being leaked, where Nicky says stuff like Koffi could destroy Fally if he wanted to because he created him, and stuff like that. Then Sandra called Carine and asked her to stop defending Fally on social media. Now with these two calls being leaked, for the public, as Sandra Kazadi is someone very close to Quadra, people thought he was behind Nicky, that he was the one asking Sandra to call these people

Bringing this back, because he is allegedly in French custody, and will go to court tomorrow. He risks 6 years of jail, a 850.000 euros fine. And also might be exiled back to DRC...

The comment didn’t even mention the fact Nicky cheated on Fally with Badive the producer before she got pregnant of Kelyah, which is why he wouldn’t recognise her, because he wasn’t sure she was actually his daughter, but he still did. The person writing this knew bringing up the cheating part would just discredit the whole statement, it’s truly sad to try and bring someone down like that

Fally never announced his departure from Quartier Latin officially. It's the strategy all musicians are using nowadays when leaving a band. He continued as a solo due to the succes of this album, in reality he was believing in hisself when the album was released and wanting to stay still in Quartier Latin, but it were people close to him who convinced him to start his solo-career.

Fally succeed because he had all Koffi enemies behind him (the late Michel Lady Luya, Shabani Records, David Monsoh, etc.), when the album was released he was still in Quartier Latin, the polemic behind of "mise en disponibilité" after the album helped him with him also taking profit from his French papers by having concerts in Europe immediatly which boosted the succes even more. Allso when he started his band a huge part of Koffi's staff followed him (Eddy Badiata, etc.).

Fally tried to play with Koffi by saying that he was about to record a solo album, as reaction when he and musicians of Quartier Latin in Kinshasa were informed that Koffi was touring in Europe (France, Germany and Switserland) with Ferre and former Quartier Latin musicians, which caused anger among them. Fally had alsoa few songs, but it was more that he could get fired by Koffi to get sympathy by people and join Wenge Maison Mere since that he approached by them. Koffi was mad, but knew that people would support him and decided to not react. Then he came back with Ferre he hold a big reunion with Quartier Latin which was normally to fire Fally from the band, asking all members if they agreed with Fally recording an album, everybody saying no except Montana and Brigade or somebody else (fearing that Koffi would leave them behind for the next Europe tour). After it Koffi "accepted" Fally recording the album. Then the day before the tour he was thinking about Fally leaving behind in Kinshasa, but on the last minute he changed his mind and brought him to Europe with the rest of the group. In Europe he tried to sabote the album by calling Somina to not produced Droit Chemin and when David Monsoh was close to release Droit Chemin he sent his lawyer to block Fally's album, saying that he hadn't the right to release an album because of him still having a contact with Quartier Latin, but it didn't work. The moment when Quartier Latin was about return to Kinshasa, Fally was contacted by Shabani Records (the same person who convinced Reddy Amisi to have concerts during the Prudence-era when being with Viva La Musica) to have a concert at Grand Hotel Kinshasa for his tv-channel and he also received contracts for Gabon and Brazzaville. Fally who was afraid was adviced by Michel Lady Luya then adviced to lie  to the pressthat he was in "mise en disponibilité", that Koffi allowed him to have concerts. Thinking that Koffi would be mad and directly fire him from Quartier Latin, which would cause symphathy among the fans in that case. But Koffi was smart and knew that trick and didn't react. The problem of Fally and Koffi created alot buzz and boosted the succes of the album even more. After the few concerts, Fally returned to Europe and had some concerts (Dock Eiffel, Le Marignan, etc.) with session musicians (Champion, Ramazani, Pathy Moleso, Michel Bass, Maika Munan, etc.) which helped him to promote the album in Europe. Not long after it he also received a 4 years contact for Bracongo (Skol).


Quick question, what happened between Koffi and Michel L.L in that period ? Because he got shouted out on Monde Arabe, and on Abracadabra too
