Congolese Music / Re: FALLY IPUPA IS CONVINCED HE'S "THE GREATEST"
« on: September 17, 2017, 22:35 »
LOL

his fans send him this art and he posts it. if he doesn't promote himself in this way who else will?? he totally gets the social media thing and he's using it well. i did have to chuckle when i saw the one that said 'the greatest'. its all marketing lol

17
yep! always assume at the very least mwana nsalu will be here to appreciate any information you give out lol

exactly i am also against that, one my young cousins wanted to sing some pop rnb and she quickly abandoned as all of them producers she meet were asking for sex even before discussing a contract

sad. as a female artist in the states i've run into people wanting to sexualize my image in order to work with me but never blatantly being asked for sex. the main reason is since i've begun i've had family members make beats for me (my cousins and now my brother) otherwise i'm sure i would have ran into similar by now. its a damn shame. if i had the means i would start a female congolese band. its desperately needed.

indeed she has been working on album "telle que je suis " since last year

that's great to hear.

to mantiuka's point. it would be quite the undertaking to get all female instrumentalists. i understand that but to at least have all female singers shouldn't be too much to ask.

since we're here special shout out to bozi boziana for working with the most women in congolese music history. its appreciated. altho i don't know what kind of relationships he had with these women lol sex may have been involved i don't know but it seems he has made it a life goal to make sure women get shine in this industry.

the worst thing is that the guys were like "hey you know the conditions dont you?i have to taste and then if you know your sXXt imma produce you and send you abroad blablabla"
she told me she was not to far from slapping one

UGH disgusting smh

21
Yup, Grand-père Bozi Boziana deserves a special award for how much exposure he gave to talented female artists

The most successful all-women African band was/is Les Amazones of Guinée. They've been around for over 30 years, and are exactly as their name suggests- Amazones. Intimidating and very talented

A female band has to be intimidating in Africa, especially DRC to be respected

dope. thanks for the links. never heard of them. but yea you know sarah solo should use whatever exposure she gains from being in maison mere and build her own band eventually. and only put women in the band. she definitely has the chops

yes there used to be taz bolingo and recently another one i am forgetting the name but it does not go far as producers want sex before producing them and as usual in a lot you always have some who would not mind, and then those who say no to be more vocal and mess it up

it seems the assholes asking for sex in exchange for production are the ones messing it up.

24
does it matter what he says when we can see and hear clearly that he's biting off fally? lol

25
LOL

26
his personality is boring. at the end of the day people fall in love with characters just as much as if not moreso than the actual music. he makes great music but he's not really charismatic. he keeps to himself. he doesn't seem to chase fame. to get to certain levels you have to actually exert effort towards recognition. just putting out great music isn't enough. it's all about marketing

28
That really sucks that he left that woman like that, didn't Fally give Alvarito permission, it's not like he ran away  and wouldn't leaders want band members to return to Kin anyways. Speaking of The US, I saw on snap that Fally is in LA.

yea i saw that on instagram when he arrived. wonder if its just vacation or work trip

29
Lizarazu Mavanga lol, even though has nothing to do with music. I think it is not only relegated to the music scene, but to all the biggest world names Congolese people love famous people and they think having their names or giving baby their names will give them some kind of good luck in life like Koffi called his sons, Del Pirlo Mourinho (Del Piero + Pirlo + Mourinho) St. James like the famous hall and Did Stone, or like Fabregas called his sod Hayden or jayceon or some like that I would never do that. The culture of your origin is the most important thing

i don't know how many kids fabregas got but i know for a fact one of them he named jayz like the rapper lol and the way he pronounces is it sounds a lot like jésus lol

Lol fally impersonator?? who is this guy?
