I'm surprised Jipson survived in Quarter Latin for as long as he did, the quality of his vocals on recorded songs compared to live performances were generally inconsistent.
It's just too bad Depitsho Savanet and Mamale Tupac couldn't remain in the group, both had great vocals and charisma. I believe Mamale left over girl troubles with Koffi, but I don't know why Depitsho Savanet didn't last with them.
Do you know why Depitsho Savanet didn't remain in Quarter Latin? He wasn't even with them in Bercy or the clips for Attentat (his parts often interpreted by drummer Champion in the clips).
Some see Depitsho as a good singer and other as a faux chanteur. Koffi recruited him, when he decided to leave Wenge El Paris where he was the third leader (behind Marie Paul & Manda Chante). Depitsho was reminding him from Debaba, with whom he had a band back in 1983 called Historia Musica.
No that's not true. Depitsho was present at Bercy. You can him see him sing in Rond Point, Number One, Micko and dancing. In he is also present in some Attentat-Clips (the generic, Cameleon and Nul n'est Parfait where he's dancing with Jordan and Fally). He left Quartier Latin after a concert in Laussane, where he came to late. Which made Koffi delete all his vocals in the CD-version of Bercy and replace it by Fally, Jordan & Lola Muana. Some animations of Ocean were also deleted and replaced by CNN. Depitsho left at the moment that they hadn't finish recording the videoclips which made his vocals being playbacked by Champion in Kamutshima & Number One. In the bonus of the cassette "Mokonzi", (which was the second part of Attentat-videoclips), Champion, Mamale, Fally & Nseka explained why Depitsho left with Champion being. On the end of the video they were singing Cameleon on the streets with Champion imitating him and then they received Koffi like a king. The video was on YouTube, but it got deleted.
But apparently he left like Mamale, because of a girl.
Oh yeah they dissed Suzuki and Academia too in that video if I remember well. Nseka said Suzuki feared Depitcho lol. Maybe in term of dancing skills. It seems like the 1st Quartier Latin wasn't pleased at all of his arrival especially Suzuki and Bouro.

You're right Wenge1995 the Kibuisa era seems to be the last time Adjani looks "healthy" he was ubstable just like Babia that was really dumb to not come to A La Queue Leu Leu recording sessions no wonder why Werrason decided to cut him off that album and his song. Mvulusi, When he returned to Maison Mere in 2003 did Werra planned to use him(Adjani) in the original version of Miracle ? Was Alerte Générale supposed to be the original générique animated by Bill and Celeo ?

Why Augusto ran away ? Did he have a problem with Koffi ? It seems like he dissappeared from the music scene since he left Quartier Latin did he became a session artist like Kaps Kapangala (who also left after Magie and the 1994 tour) ?
Babia was the first musician of Ql to ran away. He left the band after performing in Switerland, because he felt in love with a woman who was living there. Then we was beated by people who were living there , because that girl had a relationship with another man. So he wanted to rejoin Quartier Latin, so some guys went to bring him. But then they were arrested including Babia, since that they found deja in the car.
The same thing happened in 1998, he felt then again in love and didn't come anymore in concerts. Then Koffi decided to kipnap him on the last day by those ganga of Paris at that time (Zoulou's), after discovered that the story about forming Academia was true. He used some girls on Modogo and Sam to them back hahahahahaha. But they had a smart tactic and went back to Europe after some concert in Zambia. Zimbabwe & Tanzania.
I think that he felt in love with Europe. He lives in Rotterdam(The Netherlandts) now and plays offer in a church and sometimes with his friends. They have a band called Rotta- music
Damn so Rocky Blanchard was right he was the first musician to ran away. Babia was such a "aventurier". No wonder why Koffi didn't select him for Bercy (I expected to see him in Bercy, thought.) Oh yeah I remember's during Paulin Mukendi's show "Koffi selon Babia" he talked about the fact Koffi send some gangstas to kidnap him he started to shout at them "au voleur, au voleur !" Koffi only wanted Apocalypse and Acide in Monde Arabe. That would be very weird. Did Brigade was left because of a money problem with Koffi ? Because I expected the atalaku duo to be CNN-Brigade. In my opinion they were and they still waaay better than Apoca-Acide. CNN and Apocalypse made some Brigade's cries in Monde Arabe.

Rocky Blanchard is like Eric Tutsi and bouro mpela who always leave and then come back lol he left with willy bula to join zaiko ends up coming back leaves again to join academia comes back again to Latino then leaves again to join sams group then returns again 
He went to Zaiko on his own. Just before the release of Loi. Because he was angry that Motingia Tunga joined Quartier Latin. Which made them having 4 Bass players (Binda, Pathy, him and Montigia). Willy Bula joined Zaiko went they left him for that short Europe tour in the sumner of 1997, for the recordings of Loi.
I always thought Willy Bula left in January 1997 when he learn he would not tour.

He waited for QL in Kinshasa, but then Koffi left him again behind in Kinshasa. And then decided to join Academia. I guess that Koffi taught that he would stay in Europe, if he would bring him. Since that Pathy Bass stayed in 1999 and Silawuka Nguma in 2000, who were both reserve bass-players.
Did he participated to Viagra ? And when did he returned to Quartier Latin ?
