Congolese Music / Celeo Annoys Ferre's Fans
« on: September 22, 2023, 16:39 »
Some Ferre fans are not happy with Celeo's alleged statement that only Fally, Kofi and Papa Wemba have played in big venues in the United States of America. They are unhappy because Ferre just recently had a some performances in USA shortly before SDM concert and he just announced he will be having some concerts there soon. They see this an an irresponsible statement given the heightened competition between Ferre and Fally.

Congolese Music / Re: WMMM 1st Team Interview after London!

Does Mayi ya Kamba have a Facebook, Instagram or ticktock account where he shares videos of his work? I would love to take a good listen. Most of his interviews are like Machouse, he spends more time talking than playing. When he does, it is just short portions. Please share his accounts.

Yes working in some good hotel or being a driver for a good company in London can earn you more than being in any band in Congo. Some of these basic jobs actually pay more than most high paying jobs in Africa. I have a friend who is Director of  a department in a big INGO, the wife who works for a hotel in London as a chef earns more than him. The downside is that it is also expensive out there but these guys rent places as a group and hence share accommodation, bills and food costs. However, it eats into time they need to invest in building their music careers. Hence Caferoum really needs to quickly get back after raising some money, otherwise he will mess up his career if he gets comfortable playing once in a while in clubs and parties.

Congolese Music / WMMM 1st Team Interview after London!
« on: September 17, 2023, 14:16 »
Werrason hired a big bus to ferry his team clad in Karate attire to their first TV interview after the London fiasco. Mayi Ya Kamba is now fully integrated. Werrason just loves drama...!

Good afternoon Archos? Any latest on Mayi ya Kamba? Looks like WMMM fans want him to join only if Bill is OK with the move as they don't want any polemique with former band members. While he left Bill a long time ago, they still feel the move needs Bill's blessings. I saw pictures of him doing video for Morote, are they true or edited?

I read somewhere that the return of Sarah Solo is a huge possibility if Mayi ya Kamba does not join. An hour ago, Alex Ntima who is very close to Werrason shared a video wishing her a happy birthday and calling her "Le Princess de Werrason"...something they were all avoiding a few weeks ago.

Then I also read somewhere that Kimbangu Solo would love to work with Werrason on Morote album though not permanently rejoining as he makes more money in Europe.

Alfred solo is so good! I would prefer him over Sarah and Mayi ya Kamba.

This is the soloist recruited three months ago

Ong Back Solo!

The list of Makaba's replacements is long:
1. Ong Back Solo- the recently recruited soloist who plays like Kapaya. He is already doing interviews.

2. Sarah Solo- It has now come out that one of the major reasons she left was that Makaba was uncomfortable with the way Werra promoted her and was constantly indirectly fighting her.

3. Polyster- He wants to come back

4. Japonnaise- He has no band after leaving Wata.

5. Mayi Yankamba- Rumour has it that he will audition soon.

Apart from this, Werrason has also come under pressure to restructure his team and get hold of the band. Both fans and donors are putting pressure on him to get back some former musicians like Satellite, Bobby......

If JB Immeble, Gino Bass, Chida and Inongo left, it would be a good thing. A wake up call for Werrason. How can you have 3/4 of your musicians leave amidst preparation for an album? He needs to get back to running his band seriously a day change a lot of things. He has become too casual, no promotion and he nolonger puts in much effort...more like the band is on auto pilot.

57
He has had trouble getting visas for the rest of the band and a long list of comedians and journalists. He should probably get UK based freelance musicians and invite the likes of Ancy Kyamwangana and others as guest artists.

58
It is press conference and usually press conferences are scheduled to address other issues aside from the major issue. It is confirmed he is not attending the London concert because of time and other prior commitments.

59
He will discuss 5 things:
1. Dynaste
2. Bercy concert
3. USA tour
4. International tour
5. Werrason's London concer. Big sponsors want either him to appear at London concert or Werrasom at Ferre's Bercy concert. There is also talk of a Wenge MM reunion concert...

Manzambi: Mfumu Vata has already given me the response I wanted. He understood my simple question better. I'm satisfied with his response.
