Congolese Music / Re: FALLY'S FIRST DRUMMER WAS A BEAST
« on: April 25, 2018, 22:29 »
now they are on a pay by concert, after concert atele kunianga shares the money allocated to musicians( which is not huge lets be honest but gotta be better now with fally having played like 6 concerts in DRC for three years, abroad his contracts are better) but its better than some groups who get a salary once every three month at best

the reasons why our artists are that stingy for most they came from at best average background,so when they get some money they want to make up for their years of struggle, some also are stingy because they consider that they have the "biggest spiritual burden of the group" so its normal that they have to keep it for themselves, also because of competition, for example they'd tour or record an album and earn good money by selling songs to customers but leader will keep it and buy a house or a car because he has to either keep up pace with the rival or try to "reduce the gap" like they consider it
another reason is that for them when musicians get money, they start partying and come late at concerts or rehearsals or miss out so it disorganizes the group

somehow i understand him demand was very very high and them artists have it hard to reject "even" 500 dollars there are some albums like that where there was crazy demand and they had to make up for forgetting people on previous albums

unfortunately thats the field jb wants to change the least, unless you really force your way out yourself he'll apply loyalty rule first
but the problem goes deeper, whenever you ask him whether in private or he is asked on tv about what he plans for a concert to come,he always replies this" music is simple,i dont know why people like to overcomplicate things, you come you play your songs you go back home" which shows he has abandonned any idea of competition(if you remember i have been saying for years that bcbg operate like in their own world, totally hermetic to pressure,to radical change and to wanting to really compete)
which shows more than enough that a good part of the drive of the jb of before has gone, otherwise even rivals offered him golden opportunities to make massive impact but he did not grab it,sticking to his policy of  "zero pressure,as long as i perform often"

symplicity you summed up what is said in the industry, except maybe wazekwa or reddy amisi who clearly loves that role model image and insists on it  most of them say their role is just to entertain people not to educate somebody
and when we take deep think about it,most genius in music are "special" in behaviour, and since in our music we do not have those image managers western artists have their wild side is easily exposed

if i am not mistaken that is the tour celeo said he "saved" fally  by bringing a bag of clothes because musicians wanted to leave(they were not too allowed to move for matolo because fally feared about visas) then konga left during A2BM tour because it took them time to start to get matolo contacts while fally took the tour money for himself

Congolese Music / THE TOP 10 MOST LOYAL ATALAKUS OF ALL TIME
« on: April 24, 2018, 17:30 »
i decide to make this post because i feel people do not value enough how hard it is to have a long and consistent career as an atalaku, singers get most of the praise but they can get praise based on our handsome they look only,or based on vocals made of people's name already, while atalakus have a tougher task to always create and come with different things (although in the last years their creation appeared to be a bit one dimensional, focused too much on sex) so i decided to give some due respect to the most loyal atalakus ever
i could do  best ever regardless of loyalty but i find that those who are not thrown away like a piece of XXX after one two three albums had it harder to maintain a certain level
so here is the 10 most loyal atalakus ever

1 doudou adoula of zaiko  30 years(current chef d'orchestre of zaiko)
2 nono monzuluku of zaiko 23 years( before he started being on and off and left)
3 gentamicine lisimo of wenge bcbg 19 years
4 eclipse mososo of cultura  17 years
5 nono shaka of cultura 17 years
6 cellulaire yankobo(rip) of wenge bcbg 16 years
7 pajo kaluila of wenge bcbg 14 years
8 ben laden of wenge bcbg 14 years
9 celeo scram of wenge maison mere 10 years
10 fiston lobeso tigre of wenge maison mere 10 years
