Congolese Music / WILL WE EVER SEE THIS AGAIN
« on: July 11, 2018, 15:45 »
Will we ever see such mature musicians in a band? Will we ever see such stars work together under one leader?

Congolese Music / BIKORINO IS OVERRATED
« on: May 15, 2018, 09:52 »
I have now watched Bikorino do his thing twice here in Nairobi, one being last Sunday at Koroga festival and my honest opinion is that this gentleman is OVERRATED. I honestly think that Sara solo may be better than Bikorino. This gentleman can not do any single signature by Flam or Kimbangu, He would try and gets off badly.

My other honest opinion is that Werra may be the biggest CORN artiste of our time. One clever musician who will entertain his fans without him being much involved in singing. I ask myself how is Werra managing to take all the monies home when its clear that he's not doing much that the leader should be doing.

Lastly, these artistes no longer take African tour seriously or our music is purely dwindling.

Congolese Music / KOFFI WILL BE BACK IN KENYA ON 24TH APRIL
« on: April 13, 2018, 13:48 »
KOFFI has been invited to attend Kenyans devolution conference bringing together all 47 counties governors and their deputies. For sure Kenyans love KOFFI, yes few elements are critical of the invite but majority are happy to host him  again. He's been invited by the host Kakamega  governor.

Congolese Music / WAZEKWA'S YOUTUBE VIEWS CURSE
« on: January 23, 2018, 15:46 »
Why is it that even when Wazekwa does music of honor like this one there are still no proper views? What is Wazekwa not doing right?

Congolese Music / NO HARD FEELINGS, PLEASE LET'S REASON
« on: December 04, 2017, 09:04 »
Guys let's be sober with it. Why is JB Mpiana not releasing album? Is there something behind it. I don't think its normal.

Congolese Music / LM Villa Nova New clips

The negativity outshines the positive contributions that the guy brings. He's been consistent in giving his musicians pace that Fally and Ferre finds difficult.

Thinking about the situation in Zimbabwe and what came to my mind was Koffi and Cindy. Now Agbada must learn that women can easily bring you down. Am waiting for the remaining strong men to fall.

Congolese Music / EVERGREEN NYOKA LONGO & THE ZAIKO BAND
« on: November 02, 2017, 11:15 »
What amazes me is the total opposite personality to that of an entertainer Ya Jossart is and he's managed one of the most successful orchestra of our time. Zaiko got it in their style, not much aggressive sebene with very simple and likable dance styles. Nearly everyone is dancing throughout the concert.

Can someone kindly write the history of Zaiko and this man Ya Jossart.

Congolese Music / ORCHESTRE SOSOLISO
« on: October 09, 2017, 12:36 »
This band was real entertaining. They were so creative. I would love to know if they were real stars during the time of TPOK.

They were truly good. 13:17 One day such great works shall sell like diamond but sadly they would not be there to enjoy it.

Congolese Music / ONCE PRIDE OF EAST
« on: October 04, 2017, 20:22 »

Les Mangelepa was once rulers of music scene in Kenya and the larger east Africa. My question is, do musicians lose their voice as they age or is it because of heavy smoking and drinking? The old men in there were once the giants of the mic.

Congolese Music / THIS IS WHAT WE LACK IN KENYA
« on: September 10, 2017, 14:35 »

I cant believe this is Zimbabwe!! This is coming at a time when even at Fikin we are not seeing such crowds!!! Congratulations to Werra, you've done this music proud. The outdoor performance is what we've been asking here in Nairobi but we have promoters who don't think. make one concert cheap and put it out there for many fans to attend. The goodwill is there, we only need promoters who will go extra mile.
