Congolese Music / Reply To: Fally Ipupa Fikin 2013« on: October 29, 2013, 13:39 »@EMOBCBG said: When did I say that he needs no change? He's basically playing like everybody else so why single him out? Isn't Fally playing only ballads,JB the same thing, they've all forgotten about sebene and proper solo guitar, only Werrason respects solo guitar so all of them need to change anyway but if you're comparing Fally and Ferre, both have their issues and it's their own problem,in their current state,i prefer Ferre's music because he's not as monotonous as Fally when it comes to personal lead vocals, Ferre can sing in any style and with variations and that's where he wins. 6366

I hope he concentrates on composing and producing musicians not him singing, like Taddet's dad, Elba Top A, he really wants to sound like Madilu when he sings and sounds funny.

What I can tell you is that I can pay £100 to watch a concert by Ferre Gola and for a Fally Ipupa concert the maximum I would be willing to pay is £25 so that should tell you something. 6372

This was also another hit.
I think the man is just putting pieces of his life back together now at home, i don't expect him to go back to music, maybe gospel. 6375

I don't know this man very well but i have one song he did which was quite popular and remains in my head.
What i remember is that a few years back he was jailed for raping a minor, he was released early. I remember seeing reports and photos of the likes of Werrason having visited him in prison. |
