The issue of Koffi is not as simplistic as it is being put across. Those that live in Europe must surely know how the laws work in relation to convicted criminals and more so, convicted for serious offences such as Koffi.

So let's deal with the facts

Koffi is now a convicted peadophile with a 2 year sentence on his record. The fact that his sentence was suspended does not equate to acquittal. It only means that he won't face a custodial term (prison) but he remains convicted........Unless Koffi gets his sentence quashed or overturned nothing changes for him if he wins again against the group of feminists appealing his sentence. In fact I think Koffi will win cause at appeals stage, you are not allowed to introduce new evidence but identify errors made in law........so there is a very good chance that Koffi will win the appeal, but his problem is that the win does not absolve him of his crimes for which he is convicted.

European nations have very strict procedures for dealing with criminals intending to arrive in their jurisdictions. So, I find it very difficult to find circumstances under which Koffi can be allowed in Europe again as a convicted paedophile. If Koffi is a citizen of a European country and that country does not revoke his his citizenship, yes he can come back into Europe. However, his ability to perform near children and movements will be heavily restricted and monitored. In addition, other European countries where he is not a citizen may refuse him entry

Europe hates paedophiles.......murderers and drug pushers get it easy sometimes, but paedophiles no......Koffi is stuffed, there is nothing to celebrate.

He says they became friends around 10 11 12 years as they were in same class and he could already feel he had something special
at his age he was already buying clothes and was coming to class with "big money" for a guy of that age and was already a great fan of fashion
their class prefect being no other than fifi mwamba" ficarre",they were often hanging together when there was a break and jb was already singing and the guy reveals that  he predicted  to jb that he would become another papa wemba which shocked jb but he kept insisting to jb that he was sensing huge leadership in him and he convinced jb to go and learn some spirituality  to be able to use the leadership ability and he is very happy to see that jb did not waste his leadership ability
in class jb was a calm guy who followed lessons seriously then once on a break could talk and have fun and back then he already had a funny way of walking "like a star" which teachers and colleagues loved he was already getting attention
he says they had not meet for years then they meet years ago when he tried to create a fanclub and jb welcomed him well and gave him an amount of money he was told not to reveal and asked him to write a legal status for his fan club so it can be officially registered and he did but he did not receive answer(this was when fans were putting mad pressure on the th generation to leave) but its not a problem and he kept doing business here and there but now he is on a big low so he did this interview also to ask to his friend if he can help him out a bit

I hate friends like this............

V12 is a pure classic. I never tire of listening and dancing to it. Effrakata comes to me as a distant second cause sometimes I tire of listening to Bebe Kero shouting & that is something I never do with V12.......stand out for on V12 is Rocky Blanchard with his bass and the vocals....all on point. To me v12 is a winner by a country mile.

Congolese Music / Re: Wenge Musica 4x4 BCBG

Ndekos I have something thats been on my mind for a while. Without any objectivity and with just looking at the songs for what they were do you think Wenge Musica 4x4 was overrated in hindsight? Only reason I ask is because from 1990 until 1996 they did a lot of work but to this day those songs dont get played much at parties or get togethers. During that period Pepe Kalle, Papa Wemba, Koffi Olomide, Defao were much less popular but to this day I still hear people play their songs from that era, be it in the car or at a party during the slow jams or even dancing to the sebenes.

I think personally Wenge revolutioned the sebene department but as far as the songs themselves I cant think of any song during 1990-96 that I can play at any wedding, am I bugging ndekos? Or do you guys agree in hindsight.

I suppose it all depends on who you hang out with. From my observations, as a part time DJ I noticed that the 40-45 year olds love the Wenge 4x4 generation in all it's forms, the late 40s to early 50s like the Zaiko generation in all their different forms, then the mid 50 upwards like Franco & Tabu Ley et al & others of that generation........The 40 and below are into the Fally generation......Koffi however, transcends all generations.

Congolese Music / Who is Ted Tendai?
« on: November 23, 2018, 07:45 »
Archos, Nkosi, Mutebu

Who is he?
What does he do?
What is he famed for?
What business interests does he have?
Why do the Wenges, apart from Werra cosy up to him?

Congolese Music / Re: Fally Ipupa Control Album is the bomb!
« on: November 07, 2018, 16:34 »
Well, it's been on reply for the last few days, am totally satisfied with it. Good rhumba songs and the generiques are not bad either.

I like the new soloist playing on the second generique,Fally mentions his name "Kole Solo or something, he plays like Le Petit kurukuru.

Boss Papa Kevin.....what's up?

Some of the things I have learnt from this album are that:

1. I hate most rhumba music and I can't abide the voices of men screaming and shouting, it's just not my thing.......this business of loading up songs that are top heavy on rhumba doesn't work for me....why not a rhumba that climaxes into a sebene? ..........In general I like sebene and can do with an album full of sebene ........for his part Fally made a sterling effort on one sebene......"The Crown"......HOWEVER.........the sound is atrocious. Never in the 21st century must anyone record such bad sound....how?
2. I was impressed and continue to be impressed by Wallo Bass.......the guy is immense and I think he competes for the crown of best bassist with Djino from Maison Mere. His style is of the Motingiya type....kind of old school but infused with modern playing like Michel Bass. I like his play but he was badly let down by the quality of sound........
3. Fally needs an impact atalaku who has got a presence.......the guys he has on board are all jokers that are not up to the job.....yes Kabuya is extremely talented but if only he stayed sober. He is unreliable and for where Fally is attempting top take his career to he can not rely on Kabuya.

In all.....if the sound was decent and there was an impact atalaku, this would probably have been one of the best generiques in the last few years.

I will reserve full judgement on this album till later.

Before Werrason took over around 2000, Defao was dead cert on taking over as the best showman and performer. He had set himself up very well & it's a pity that things fell apart right when he was at the cusp of something great.........very sad.

Sala Noki is still one of the best albums ever produced (fav songs Abdallah & Sala Noki) and every time I want some ndombolo ya solo this is my go to album, Full Option (1+1=love santa & go go empire) and Feux de l'amour (Bana Lunda & Cavalier Solitaire).

Congolese Music / Re: LE PADRE LISTENING TO JB
« on: August 20, 2018, 08:21 »
While we’re on the song subject, I really like the first half Of Bolonia, but the song falls flat for me on the second half. Idk, the traditional theme doesn’t work for me. Feels like two songs combined into one
You are absolutely spot on and I was thinking about the same when I played it on Friday. The second half is a massive cock up.

Werra should be the one giving reconnaissance to his ex colleagues, because he wasn't paying them first and foremost secondly because they stuck with him even though administration did whole ti keep those 2003 guys unpayed, you work your ass off for a guy who cannot even sing (Werrason can't sing this is why he keeps on that tika bana ba yemba)
It is fact that  Werrason cannot not sing even to save his own life but fortunately, for him that in itself is not a limiting factor. He does not need to be a good singer at all because he has good singers around him and he is a very fine all round musician who knows how to makes excellent music. That is all he needs to be successful and he has that so the argument about his singing ability is a false one because he is not an opera or solo singer. What is irrefutable is that he makes excellent music and the success of his albums and concerts speak to that fact. Equally, to have him spoken about in the same sentence as JB and Koffi; to have him competing and winning against them is testament to him phenomenal talents. There is no need to peddle revisionist and wishful theories about an African legend whose works speak for them.
………….if.it.wasn't for.the group Werra with be just a street band sir making songs about food so to me it is senseless say that Celeo was poor and whole that, Ferre, Fabregas, even Robinio make more views, money and album sales now in confront of Werra who got a comeback only bdcause of 7 Jours.
I am not sure why you make some wild assertions and speculative theories, skirting the facts that are already available………..The fact is that the lives of musicians who joined Maison Mere and left turned for the better. It is also true that the musicians worked hard and earned their change in fortunes. To me it is not an either or argument because there was mutual benefit.
However, there is no denying that the hand that helped them to succeed is that of Werrason and that is a fact that has stood the test of time and proven beyond doubt. The argument you make above that, “Werra would just be a street band making music about food” is a misguided opinion; not too dissimilar to one made by those that refuse to acknowledge the success of managers in football. Werrason like Alex Ferguson who built many successful football teams, continues to confound his critics by building new and successful Maison Mere teams.
Werrason has changed his team 4 major times with other small changes in between

Team 1: Ferre, Baby Ndombe, JDT, Adjani, Mabiala, Lacoste, Heritier
Team 2: Heritier, Bonbon Kojack, Capuccino, Kabose, Teka, Jitrois, Eboa Lotin
Team 3 Miel, Taddet, Olivier, Café Rhum, Nicodèm, Limousine Ferrai, Gemerose
Team 4 Café Rhum, Nicodèm, Iniesta, Christian Ozil, Basele, Satellite, Bobby Ronaldinho

Having changed his team as many times, it is foolhardy to contend that the success of Maison Mere has nothing to do with Werrason……….if not then who is responsible for that success?
