I got a heated question. Some people will hate it. Do you think that Celeo Scram would have fitted in Quartier Latin. I only ask because I think Celeo Scram sounded similar to Mposhi except Celeo's voice was more crystal clear than Mposhi's voice was more rougher. Also Celeo Scram did a collaboration song with Koffi Olomide which was nice to hear. Mposhi and Celeo Scram were part of the Tutu Callugi School.

Please give me your honest response.

I got the song of Celeo Scram and Koffi Olomide

Congolese Music / Happy Birthday Bouro Mpela
« on: August 06, 2019, 02:46 »
I will give a happy birthday shout out to Bouro Mpela. One of the best singers of QL. I give his great song from one of Koffi's best album Affaire d'Etat.

This song is pretty good. Out of many of the songs of Soyons Serieux. This song is pretty impressive and Jules Kibens sounds pretty nice. I can't get enough of this song. ENJOY

He goes by the name Parfum Divin. He is the from the school of Didier Lacoste. He sounds like him but with a little Amelia effect in his voice well. Werrason got him in the band. I hope this man sings a lot on Werrason's next album Formidable.

Which QL interview you believe is more against Koffi Olomide. I will try to put all the videos concerning Koffi. From CongoMokili.

This was mostly of Werrason but Jitrois speaks briefly of Koffi Olomide

Titina speaks very briefly of Koffi with a seek of invitation

I don't know but I get a feeling like Maitre Ninja would like Papy Kakol to leave Maison Mere. Werrason likes drama too much sometimes.

Congolese Music / What voice you think you have?
« on: March 03, 2019, 03:58 »
For me, some people say I can sing greatly and others say my voice is a "mess".

I like to sing and I sing pretty often. For me, I would say my voice is a baritone but it can be at tenor sometimes. I am a second voice singer. I would be better to backup someone than sing lead.

I sound like Pepe Kalle sort of but I have a Franco effect with my Pepe Kalle voice but I can also sound like Madilu sort of and actually can sound like Nyboma or Ntesa at times.

But I sound most like a combination of Franco and Pepe Kalle.

What kind of you have?

Congolese Music / Papa Wemba speaks of Koffi Olomide in 1999
« on: February 16, 2019, 20:33 »

Papa Wemba made a controversial claim about Koffi before their making of Wake Up. Papa Wemba said that "Koffi Olomide told him that he needs Wemba to help him and if Wemba did not help me, then Koffi would be lost". I am sure when Koffi heard this claim, he must have lost his mind. Enjoy the interview.

Koffi Olomide is in big trouble. He may end up in jail for seven years. It was a accusation of this incident with a dancer or more dancers back in 2004.

Here are is this article.

Congolese Music / JF Ifonge speaks with Ingrid Kabongo

Unfortunately I did not get a chance to watch the whole thing but someone can translate for those who want to know what is being said here

If Fally Ipupa and Koffi Olomide did a album, one song that they must do is Ngobila. They should add the voice of Suzuki.

Fally Ipupa, Koffi Olomide and Suzuki will sound perfect together. They will sound like flowers like Koffi sounded with Josky and Madilu on this live work of Ngobila.

This will be Koffi Olomide, Fally Ipupa and Suzuki if they decided to sing together especially on the song Ngobila.

Congolese Music / One song that Koffi should remix
« on: January 07, 2019, 02:09 »
This song right here. He can get new animators and remake this song. It is a very good song. He has new singers and they can sing this and Koffi can sing in his way.

Listen to this song. You will dance.

When I heard the voices of Wemba and Emeneya in this video, I was weeping because I realized how perfect their voices were for one another.

Kester Emeneya as a second voice kind and Papa Wemba as a first voice kind together made a delicious harmony in Congolese music. There two men that were meant for each other. That was Kester Emeneya and Papa Wemba. Unfortunately they had too big of egos. Had they kept their egos under control, then they could have made a duo album and it would have been bigger than Papa Wemba's Wake Up Album with Koffi Olomide. I can assure you of that.

It could have a harmony like this song here

This video also shows my point.

Look from 47:10 to 56:46

Just look great it was with them together for their harmony moments.

It is so sad that Kester Emeneya and Papa Wemba did not sing together more often as they were a perfect duo in my humble opinion.

Old School Music / This is good song from Marquis Original
« on: January 06, 2019, 02:31 »
Hear this love song by Marquis Original. Clara is a classic in my ears. Wimbo mzuri sana kwetu. Sasa tunacheza kabisa. Kabisa tunaishi mzuri kwa wimbo huyu ichezea.
