I agree with you. I am surprised to see Koffi play guitar very rarely. Part of the reason, I enjoy Beniko so much is this rhythm beat on Micko. It was Beniko.

I think Lebou Kabuya plays lead on this song. I am not sure. But Beniko plays rhythm in this song. Here, you really feel tcha tcho.

As some people know already, Pompom Miyake was a brief member of Quartier Latin. Pompom gives an interesting story about Koffi Olomide and Papa Wemba. This comes from Pompom himself:
One day, in Kinshasa (I assume), Koffi Olomide and Papa Wemba were talking while Pompom was rehearsing with Asta Paola, Bendoson and Reddy Amisi. They happen to pass Koffi and Papa and then Pompom returned while Bendo was going forward. Pompom wanted to salute Koffi and Wemba but could not because Koffi was speaking to Wemba's ear while revealing that Pompom had sung briefly in Quartier Latin. Two weeks later, Papa Wemba went to Kenya with Reddy, Bendo, Asta and himself Pompom. Papa Wemba went to ask Pompom if he was a singer in Quartier Latin which he said yes but only briefly. Papa Wemba was smiling. Pompom understood that Koffi Olomide told Papa Wemba about his time in Quartier Latin.

It looks to me that Koffi Olomide and Papa Wemba may have also performed together in Kenya. Don't forget, Koffi did some clips in Kenya.

Archos or anyone,

which guitarists plays well the rhythm guitar to make you feel the true tcha tcho sound?
Do Akongo, Beniko Popilipo, Felly Tyson or Koffi Olomide himself? I love Do Akongo but I feel like Beniko actually does a great job on rhythm guitar to create the true tcha tcho sound? What about you guys?

Didier Lacoste has lost his mind. His ego is really out of control. He needs a new entourage around him.

This song is so good. Babia's voice was a key behind the beautiful harmony as the whole in that song. I enjoy the Eric, Babia, Modogo and Suzuki combination in this song.

Hehehe. It is because of the recent openings of papers of Jeffrey Epstein. The former US president Bill Clinton is mentioned but he is only mentioned once.

These are Indians clearly. The man is just now learning swahili. Hehehehe. Well you have quite a group of Indians in Tanzania.

May he rest in peace. But the music scene is pretty unalive which explains why the journalists are useless (sad but true).

Congolese Music / Re: WMM STILL RECRUITING ATALAKUS?
« on: January 05, 2024, 18:58 »
Nowadays most of these atalaku lack creativity and they are not really bringing anything to the table hence why the leaders are now taking over in the animation department aswel.
You are spot on correct. Funny enough, some "memorable" cries seem to be the sexual or perverted ones. That shows you how bad the animation is now.

Hopefully one day we can have a video of these two men laughing together. It would do us so much good. God be the glory.

I think Werrason is looking for another animator since he does not seem happy with his current animation team.

oh boy, Werrason better be prepared. Brigade is coming after you. Oh boy, hopefully we don't hear a word from Sankara or Pi Roger. I know these men would be come and attack. Brigade better be prepared for attacks from Werrason's spokesmen if this goes through.

It appears that Fabregas cannot get strong animators around him. No wonder he keeps having changes in that section. SMH.

We need an album from him.
I agree with you however I think he will just keep releasing singles since they are doing well. But a chance of a new album is very low.
