He is the truly legend, Mopao Sakhozy Mourhino Papa Fololo Qudra Kora Man. But these guys have come very very far away in their music career !
If you closely observe from the clip, it appeared every one had at least a bottle of beer under a chair and one of them opened his beer with his teeth! while the shooting was continuing, it is very seldom to find such a bizarre behavior in modern groups. Also did you observe how Benico Popolipo dressed? Man, you can not imagine he is the real Benico who was so fashionable during the eras of Maggie, V12, Noblesse Oblige, simply to put he dressed like a peasant with collar shirt stained with sweats ! 35

Whatsoever the circumstances, the bar he set in East African Countries non of Congolese Artiste may match or will ever match for quite considerable period of time, and, it is mere fact since then non of them has been so influential in EAC other than Kanda Bongo Man.
In Kenya he was given 24 hours Personal Non Granta by the then President of Kenya cause the people had snubbed his political rally including his wife to attend Kanda Bongo Man Show. In Tanzania the then President snubbed for quite sometime to meet and resolve the strike which was called for by the doctors and nurses of the national hospital to attend the Kanda Bongo Man Show! The President left the show reluctantly during mid night to meet with the leaders of doctors and nurses to resolve the crisis which precipitation at the national hospital He is the legend Congolese musician in EAC whatsoever kind of fate he is facing now. 36

Congolese Music / Re: ZAMBIA AGRICULTURE AND COMMERCIAL SOCIETY REPLACES KOFFI WITH WERRASON« on: July 27, 2016, 11:09 »Why replace him with a bad musician like Werra...there's Fally and Ferre Bad musician? are you looking for the most beautiful musician among pageantry contestants? LOL The Zambians , Kenyans as well as the rest of Africa know what they want, they are least concern with current polemic business of Fally and Ferre and fashioned business of slow rhumba. After all most of them they dont understand Lingala; the vigor , deep and down to earth music feelings made from well arranged voices, instruments, generique, hot sebene is what made Lingala music to be popular and famous across the continent and world at large. Yes rhumba has its place, but was not used to be the main course of Lingala music. And it is thus why the likes of Werrason will continue to entertain Africa notwithstanding with crap insinuation from certain bases. 39
Congolese Music / KOFFI OLOMIDE JAILED FOR 18 MONTHS !!!« on: July 26, 2016, 16:10 »
Congolese music star Koffi Olomide has been slapped with a 18-month jail term by a Kinshasa court without the option of a fine for assaulting one of his dancers in Nairobi.
The jailing of the Congolese musician deepened the free fall in his long career that started with the kicking of one of his dancers at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), Nairobi last Friday. Mr Olomide was deported alongside three of his female dancers. Police arrived at his residence in a continuation of perhaps the worst run in Mr Olomide’s fortunes, a painful price to pay for his moment of madness in Nairobi. According to reports from Kinshasa, a campaign to have him arrested was started by Congressman Zakarie Bababaswe, who had filed a petition on behalf of the Congolese public to have the musician punished for assault. Mr Bababaswe had in a televised press conference wondered why Mr Olomide was “still walking scot free and yet there was video evidence that he assaulted his dancer in Kenya?” Incidentally, the congressman and Mr Olomide used to be good friends until they fell out after the musician and Cindy Le Coeur, his lead singer, were accused of belittling him through their songs. His arrest, which was ordered by the Attorney-General, has been received with jubilation by locals and foreigners, who feel justice must be done to all, and especially in enforcing women’s rights. Since the video footage of the incident, in which one of Africa’s leading musicians lashed out with a “kung Fu kick” at one of his dancers, Mr Olomide has suffered a huge setback in a career the otherwise mercurial singer, composer and band leader has diligently nurtured for several decades. Congolese Music / Koffi Olomide deported following JKIA assault« on: July 23, 2016, 11:12 »
Friday morning altercation at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
Olomide was filmed attacking one of his female dancers at the airport – an incident that lead to his arrest at Royal Media Services following a live TV interview where he denied assaulting his dancer. Olomide was expected to headline a mega show at the Bomas of Kenya on Saturday. Citizen Digital reached out to event promoters following Olomide’s deportation, but they refused to comment on the issue. This comes just hours after Nairobi Police Boss Japheth Koome said police have launched an investigation into the incident. On Friday night, Gender Cabinet Secretary Sicily Kariuki called for the immediate deportation of the Congolese artist over the incident. “Kenya does not condone dehumanizing acts against women. We hope that this action will be a lesson to him and others of his ilk that gender based violence will not be tolerated and all who engage in such archaic behavior will face the full force of the law regardless of their economic stature and economic standing,” Kariuki’s statement read. 41

Congolese Music / Re: BCBG PERFORMANCE AT MATANGA YA LE NKURU« on: May 05, 2016, 18:50 »
Frankly writing , Papa Cherry, Sultan, Bin Adam, performance with his group during the Matanga ya Papa Nkuru wa Nkuru was magnificent. He has reminded us of those old glory days, he has seized the rare opportunity effectively. The choice of songs, non stop moderate sebene, stage-crowded? modernity? -was fantastic given the kind of event they were honoring, other questions have no room today while we are mourning the demise of Nkuru.
