Just listen to the guitars Flamme Kapaya when he became really flammable and mimiche on bass powerful. Papy kakol rolling drum style 10/10. this doesn't even sound like congolese in a sort of way ahead of its time.
In clan wenge Bouclage is one of the greatest albums but yet so under-rated. Manda Chante had a successful year in 2000 due to this album. Sounds the same with force d'intervation rapide
THIS IS THE REAL FERRE, I THINK THIS SONG WAS A BIG SUCCESS FOR HIS CAREER THE ARRANGEMENT 10/10, INSTRUMENTALISTS GREAT. I THINK IT WAS VERY SUCCESSFUL BECAUSE HE PLAYED IN THE STYLE EMPIRE BAKUBA BUT IN A MODERN WAY KIND OF REMINDED ME OF MONANO. MAJOR RESPECT TO PASCAL POBA AS WELL FOR WRITING THIS. BUT FERRE NEEDS TO DO SONGS LIKE THIS AND NOT THE REPETITIVE RUBBISH RUMBA SUNG SOLELY AND ACOUSTIC.
The december 21st is a day of sacrifices, I remember somebody putting the truth behind titles and dates for instance werra had to wait for 21 june 2001 to release his solo album as it is the of day the solar eclipse plus is another day of sacrifices (21 June) and now JB wants to play Zenith in the December 21st another day of sacrifices... coincidences i guess not they no want they are doing if he plays i just have feeling things will go wrong in that day.
2 albums released by Quartier-Latin Academia one of the greatest off-shot groups of all time. Sanction being the first released in 1999 with 12 songs (note 3 singers sang in this whole album) pure rumba-sebenes in this album something special about this album the sound heavy bass tuning mixed with heavy drumming (djudju chet and kapangala playing a big part in drumming). Viagra being the second released in 2001, same fashion as Sanction but with more singers (suzuki, eric menthe, moustafa and tonton). 2 discs.
Good evening fellow bloggers, this article is about "RUMBA", 1) how did rumba integrate to congolese music (before rumba it was traditional folklore music in each village). 2) styles of rumba (for example style tabu ley's, viva la musica & papa wemba and fally) differences in rumba whether it is sort of sophisticated, jazz fusion type, electronic type, funk type, organic (something like odemba), tchatcho and wenge/viva styles of rumba what are the main differences between all rumba's made? 3) Modern rumba, why has rumba been disappointing in the last couple of years is it the rhythm, melody, lyrics, instruments or mabanga's.
Well music has been changing rapidly and it is only not just congolese music as you can see in worldwide mainstream music you can see electronic music has been influencing most music of today, now in Congo you can rumba and coupe decale influencing congolese music. To get back the thoughts of the artistic skills that the congolese music offers what has been the modern classic of the recent years: (2005-present) please leave your thoughts here
