I just saw this, smh c'mon Ferre you're 40 years old making the best music of your career and have a good talented group around you. I expect this from spokesmen, musicians in groups and small leaders but not from a big artists like Ferre who seems like a calm guy. Koffi has done waaayy more then Ferre has ever done so far, Ferre tika ba impolites wana eza Le Grand Mopao. Isee that Koffi calling Fally the leader of the 5th generation has really hurt him which it shouldn't.

41 years. On his age Koffi Olomide had already produced classic albums like Wake Up, V12, Noblesse Oblige, etc. winning many awards and gave his band already 3 band-albums. He's stupid to react against Koffi's provocations. This will turn on Koffi's favor like always.

Great response, both Fally & Ferre are getting ahead of themselves there not even legendary levels yet. Compare Papa Wemba, Kester, Koffi, JB & Werra none of them have accomplished the same success as them but the spokespeople the first to talk they've got a long way to go. Papa Wemba at 40: numerous Classic songs, plays in Japan & USA, makes a film, popularizes sape and gives exposure to Kester, Koffi, Reddy, Stino and co., Kester: numerous Classic songs, influence a new generation (Wenge), plays in Japan, attempts to crossover with popular song "Nzinzi", Koffi: numerous Classic songs, popular songs written for other artists, classic albums, launches a group and gives them exposure, JB: Plays zenith, Olympia and bercy, two classic albums, two anthologic songs that breaks clan langa langa "Mulolo" & "Kin E Bouge". Werra: first artist to do Double Zenith, gives exposure to a dream team "Maison Mere", participates in legendary group Wenge Musica, numerous classic songs and the only artist play in Palais de Sport. The new two need to catch up. There aren't their as they think.

koffi replies himself " you see,let me tell you something, when someone talks about you but fears saying your name  dont follow him,it means he knows how big you are and he adds many if they check their health they'll find they have serious damage already

;D  ;D  ;D this guy, this isn't something new to him. I might have to do short article on his controversies.

NDEKO the problem is that carine actually shares that hate or whatever against fally so she'd even want ferre to go even harder
i have noticed this  on several cases on internet the interview who is a pro werra for example will even make comments when somebody comes to attack jb ferre wata and vice versa and same for fally and ferre
i continue to say those type of things made some sense when our music was at its top with 8 months abroad for almost everybody
now with the succession of albums making some buzz the two first weeks its a complete waste of energy although those who are die hard fans of artists will call it "banter" and praise him or the leaders who like doing that

Exactly carine got the best of Ferre, Ferre was false with his story about 300 coupe that was fake because when Maison Mere came back after the 1st tour in Europe, Quartier Latin were literally on their way to Bercy so that could have met each other until maybe early 2002 because once Maison Mere were on tour QL were in Africa vice versa. I think Ferre is more upset with Koffi and had a big freak moment just as Sam Tshintu did with Nathy and Wazekwa but with Ferre he should have tried to calm himself down and speak honestly instead of being brash I've never seen someone and official singer speak bad about Koffi like that live on TV apart from spokespeople Sam and Wazekwa hit hard with honest opinions in certain occasions. But yes Carine did everything to Fally involved whereas Ferre had one aim as he cited.

1 Thing I've all noticed koffi is a great at provocation he did same thing with Fally during one of his interviews with nathy lokole he got upset but controlled himself, Papa Wemba got so upset during his one of his last interviews concerning koffi, jossart the same. They need learn how to completely ignore otherwise he'll take control of the situation.

This has to be worse I've seen, I think Ferre is upset but he should have calmed himself down the girl interviewer got the best out of him. Secondly I think his really upset more with you know who then likely rival Fally because certain of the stories didn't make sense what's really up with this music scene. Ferre normally is a quiet guy I've seen him talk like this in Maison Mere when the war was really at boiling point he never talked with such aggression all they way in Les Marquis (era), QL & solo career (bar the Werrason moment) but I think his upset maybe he should have done this for his own sake the might be potentially the biggest cold war to start since QL & BCBG!

Wow!, this guy was ahead of his time, every song he made in that group was a HIT!, now look at him. But this acoustic version was really good what a group!.

Congolese Music / WHICH GENERATION OF BIG STARS WAS BETTER
« on: September 05, 2017, 20:56 »
Which Generation/era do you prefer?

1st Generation: Montana Kamenga, Djodjo Bayinge (top singer, reminds me of Dindo Yogo), Adoli Bamweniko, Debleu Kinanga, Teddy Bukasa, Bakolo Keta, Azanga (underrated animator), Richa Cogna-Cogna, Burkina Faso Mboka Liya, Ladi Mbala, Jagger Bokoko, Mogus Santu, Jean-Louis Bikunda& Guy wa Nzambi (top bass players)

2nd Generation: President Montana Kamenga, Deblue Kinanga, Teddy Bukasa, Bakolo Keta, Kabose Bulembi, Eugene Makuta (replacement of Djodjo another top singer!), Jirbo Ntunta, Mardochee Kayembe, Theo Mbala (no.1 animator), Charles Kaptutu, Djudjuchet, Renato Mondele, Laurent Kadogo, Ladi Mbala, Tshotsholi, Jean-Louis Bikunda, Blaise La Bamba & Eddy Kandimbo

I think I'm going with the 2nd Generation the overall ambience was better plus the group reached another height easily top 3 groups in the late 90s. One thing upsets me how Defao never continued this group many singers and animator could have been in the group including CNN, Jordan Kusa, Bourman Idolo, Mbetenge and many others. Can we have short career on this group please  :).

Archos just to ask a question you know a lot when it comes to the history of our music, Christian Mwepu also had a big hand concerning the debut of Maison Mere because he was the original and first chef d'orchestre plus we was given a car and money (just as with Ferre he was also having conversations with Werra) but how comes his name does not pop up. Maybe it seems like Didier Masela must of lied concerning Maison Mere as he said only him and Werra we were left. Sankara and the lad just proved JDT is the first singer/participant of Maison Mere and yes Adolphe could not decide where to go either JB or Werra. Last of all I think Ferre is so common it is because of his current stardom and in all honesty his work-rate and consistency was beyond fantastic especially artistically so I see how he can call himself co-founder but at the same time if he really was why didn't have a song on the first album??? but Christian did??? (weird)

I'm missing 7/7's these days. I know later Felix was able to bring classic sebene's but in this album the reached the next level, hono kapanga and doudou wonderful. But Gessac around this time was arguably the best animator of 2004 close competition with Bill & Genta (sometimes if you don't pay attention you'd think it's with Bill, Genta or an older Kerozene). I love to see him get the same respect his underrated in my opinion!

40
Classic album and great song but who played lead and rhythm on Miss Nicole, I think maybe Lebou played lead because that first partition fantastic. Mboshi was at his peak around this time DAMN!

:D :D :D GUYS I'M NOT TRYING TO KILL THE BUZZ OR SAY IT IS A COMPLETE FAILURE OF AN ALBUM NO!, BUT THERE IS NOTHING NEW THERE'S NO SPARK THAT EXCITES ME OR BLOWS MY MIND AWAY APART "MOBEBE" AND "TITANIC", OF COURSE FERRE IS BEING PRODUCTIVE WHICH IS GOOD AND RELEVANT BUT SONGS LACK PERSONALITY AND DEPTH, BOB MARLEY HERE WAS USED AN EXAMPLE EACH OF HIS SONGS DIFFER IN THEMES AND MOOD. IT IS NOT ONLY FERRE MOST ARTISTS LACK THE EXTRA PUSH OF VARIERTY AND PERSONALITY, LET ME GIVE AN EXAMPLE MONDE ARABE IS RUMBA ALBUM BUT EACH SONG HAS DIFFERENT PERSONALITY, THIS ALBUM DOES NOT AS FOR ME SO FAR MAYBE I COULD CHANGE IN THE NEXT MONTHS NO HARD FEELINGS LET'S SEE HOW IT GOES.  :)

The album that started an era, it's like most people have forgotten about it.

Of course I'll explain in further detail about that. Guys please may have some information on the credits and a bit of brief history (who supported them, where it was recorded, the official year of the recording, songwriters and some origins of vocals and songs I've got man stories about some vocals but I need some confirmation before starting the whole thing).
