Congolese Music / Re: Ferre Gola - Bizorbi (Clip)
« on: January 23, 2023, 17:41 »
The argument "This forum hates Ferre" is ridicolous,  Koffi, Fally and especially JB gets insulted and called out everytime they make a bad project Fally's formula 7 is a clear example for that and for Koffi how many people clowned him here for that ridicolous shit he was doing of following trends, instead of being original and stay true to his roots like Zaiko did? JB and Koffi lately didn't receive much criticism because their albums are excellent and I mean... we all have ears and we all have been extremely harsh on JB and Koffi for the past years, oh yes and what about Werra? How many times people call him put for having these obsessions with taking clones instead of developing an original Atalaku with something of his own? Like When Roi David, Bill and to some extent Celeo did? I think that a lot of you guys should stop to be emotional and just understand that there is a certain level and a certain ear that when you are a music fan, no matter the artist you like tend to develop,  and with this year you can judge releases and defend call people out when they do bad oh and yes even Innoss'B got criticized for his latest single but all of a sudden Ferre gets criticized and the forum hates Ferre come on

Compare these to whatever this new song Ferre made is and now let's go back to talking

This is the outcome of reading to respond and not to understand.

I listened to the song once and am not repeating it because it is not my type of song. From the reaction on socials, seems quite many people like it. But Ferre seems to be cursed in this forum. If he plays rhumba he is monotonous, if he tries to diversify, he is slammed. Damned if he do, damned if he don't.  Other artists(you know who and who I mean) release songs that are way more crap than this but guys wet themselves praising them so it's like expecting a Man U fan to admit Rashford was interfering with play ????????????

So Sam Tshintu definitely did the vocals on the Magie-album, but with a different voice. Now I see why he often credit Babia for making progess in his singing-skills.
CASE CLOSED. Now we can finally end the discussion whether Sam sang in magie or not. I always said he still had his magie voice if you listen to some songs he sang in QL and Academia

Papa Na Roissy 6:02 his voice changes to the magie voice

Zabalambu it’s a mix of Magie voice and his current voice 3:57

Hello Prince, do you mean he sang in Magie by having vocals or just in chorus? And if he had vocals, which songs from what minute to what minute because I would be very interested to listen to Sam's 'Magie' voice
Hey buddy, yeah he actually sang in Magie he had three vocals, In the song Magie, Mansouri S, Sylvekou, and Meslian
The first minute of this it has his vocals from Magie.

I always those parts were Wily Bula????. His 'Magie' voice was marvelous.  He should have kept switching back to it in his later vocals

Congolese Music / Re: FINALLY BALLE DE MATCH IS OUT!!!

Maybe the fact that JB Mpiana did not release an album in such a long time has left some of us too hungry we will take anything he spews out as excellent. I have taken my time to listen to this album with such an open mind and so much hope but found  nothing to praise in this album. The singing including JB himself who used to be such a beautiful singer is an insult to my ears. The sebenes and generiques are so lifeless with shouting rather than animation.  Even Fusee who gets so much praise here got me pissed with the eeeh eeeeh eeeeh kinda screaming.  The chorus is bearable but I think if I need good recent chorus, nothing beats the 'original' tchatcho chorus Koffi gave us recently in Legende. This is a personal opinion and to each his own. Those who find this album interesting must be such a lucky bunch with something to enjoy over Xmas.

Bro what happened? Lol I can't say anything about the Rhumbas but the Generique were on point especially Jump and BCBG En Avant and also the seben of Ainsi Dit L'Eternel by Fuse was a masterpiece

Bro, maybe the problem is me????????????????I was so looking forward and expected something along the lines of Jeannette or grace toi a germain for the rhumbas or some fire sebene a la' excess d'amour or Tshico Londonien or Love Airline but what I got was so underwhelming.  I guess my taste has become too choosy and I  need to reconsider and lower down my expectations. I suspect I may be the problem because almost everyone else says it's super......

Congolese Music / Re: FALLY'S ALBUM FORMULE 7 IS OUT
« on: December 17, 2022, 04:14 »
Kiekie so as soon as one person says the album isn’t good you then have other people decide to join the band wagon and say the album isn’t good ehhh.

And the converse is true. When the first guy said it's Fally's best album, the chorus was how good it is. Then reality set in and the honeymoon was over when a keen objective ear took a different opinion. I think guys may be listening to different albums here. The album is not spectacular in my opinion neither is it hopeless. Fally has sung better before but for me I am loving some of the rumbas so I'll keep my peace

I am a diehard Ferre fan so I am always unfairly harsh on Fally but I have to say I am enjoying Kit complet, Honorable, Je t'aime, Doc Jeff and Coeur Amourex. They are the type of rhumba that reveals me to myself....I don't want to get ino the generiques but you realize there is a problem when some of us who are always lambasting monotony from certain artists come here to praise and defend the same monotony. Like they say in Swahili nyani haoni kolunde meaning ostriches love the sand..........

Hmm seems that most people on this forum don’t care about this album even those that were saying everyday they were waiting for a new Koffi album…sad.

Once again this album is very good it’s been on repeat, if only he included a few sebene songs.

Why do you say they don't care about the album?
Because it’s not getting the rightful attention it deserves kiekie

What’s your favourite songs off the album?

Pont Rouge, Julie Case and Tresor Public

Wazekwa is like the congo brazzaville of RDC...everything sounds the same, no matter who the atalakou is. he needs to do a regular generique once just to switch things around.

Something I have always mentioned here after every generique. Today I didn't wanna bother but you said it for me.

Mbempe is a decent Generique, he should’ve let his atalaku continue doing the animations that 1 min space he gave the atalaku made a huge difference. As for the rest of the album it’s actually not bad for me I like most of the songs, Mbembe, Pont Rouge, Femme, Andress, King Muteba, Olala, Eto’o, Julie Casse, Tshiboless. That’s more than half the album. I wasn’t feeling the auto tune though

Symplicity I think you’ll probably like this album.

For the guys looking for Sebene don’t waste your time.

I can’t wait for it to be available on most platforms. Why the autotune nonsense with these guys?

I really enjoyed Dynastie! But I think these albums need to actually add in what made Congolese music congolese. People still want to dance.

I always notice that here. Guys don't like rhumba as much as I do. As for Dynastie, I only have Ekoyebana and Marathon. The rest were not to my taste si I just gave them a pass but I came to realize a good number of people appreciate the urban/world/crossover music, you included. So I made my peace with that. I am really waiting for Dynastie 2 especially the one with Malage that i heard a snippet of on Facebook singing about Kadi Kadima or some name like that

Is Dynastie 2 supposed to be like Wenge MMM? I do miss a good sebene big time. These artists are giving us very little material to appreciate. How do you like Fallys rumbas?

The last one I really enjoyed, really really enjoyed was Cadenas. It is one of my all time best rhumba song. When I say my own type of rhumba it is a song like Cadenas. Liputa, Une Minute etc. In Cadenas and those earlier albums he sang his rhumbas with emotion and soul. Been missing i his songs lately. Clic Clac wasn't bad, Emeraude, Vincent Gomez as well, Anissa last part after the change de frequence just before Kalombo and Atele and Seyo the last part are listenable. A Flye, Humanisme, Canne a Sucre didn't really tug at my musical heartstrings. But Cadenas ohh boy that song is legend on my playlist.
