Congratulations to him. This illustrates something I always say on this forum. These artists produce works for particular audiences not necessarily what we want them to produce for our individual tastes. There is always a chorus on this forum over sebene and from me over rhumba. Every time an artist releases an album it's always this one is going to fail because it does not have sebene for me I always demand rhumba(in fact my particular personal kind to make it worse) yet these artists know that sometimes it is rhumba or urban music or crossover or coupe decalle that gets them the money. We always berate Fally for his world music albums because we want sebene from him. In my case, I always lambast him because I want rhumba but Fally knows it's the urban/world music that has cemented his GOAT status. On 'Dynastie' I really was mad with Ferre because he is today my rhumba king yet he only gave Marathon as the only strict rhumba song(in my book). Then here I see he has won an award because of the songs I didn't want on the album. Lesson time for me. I will still complain when I don't get enough rhumbas but I now have learned that what I want may not be what pays the artists and I expect a few disappointments here and there.
I like Ferré but someone needs to tell him to stop jumping like he does . We all know that he is trying to get into the urban style but he still can do it calmly instead of jumping like a kid . He got the voice but ain’t got the moves for it . Doing those stupid moves does not make him look more hip hop or whatever they call it. He can hire good choreographer to teach him the proper moves to the urban style instead of messing up the video with those nonsense moves
i think he will be mocked or criticized again for being emotional and crying
That's what we losers do best......insulting, satirizing, and criticizing.............let us enjoy Maitre . And of course we must then demand that he should have been received by a bigger crowd. That he should have promoted his arrival better....oooh poor Ferre
jesusssss my man sounded like adolphe interpreting emeneya lol must me one of those kakol's favorites i saw his face once or twice but i dont remember his name
He is so forgettable. You wonder the sorcery Kakol steps to have such a mediocre vocalist interpret a legend like Mabialos
i believe in the long run jamaique might go back to full singing like he was back in the days with bill clinton
Maitre Archos who is the vocalist who sings next to Michigan around minute 23.00 going forward? Looks and sings like Michigan. Infact he sings before Michigan and is such a poor version of Michigan. When Michigan comes after him you get to appreciate how that voice should be sung. Sadly it seems he has overtaken both Michigan and Ozil in the baritone category. Who is he?
Is Michigan the one next to Inongo??
No, Michigan is extreme left and sings from minute 25:17. He interpretes Baby Ndombe. The one next to Inongo(between Inongo and Michigan)is the one I am asking about. Michigan is quite a character and you can watch and listen to him more clearly in Sans Conquerant(he is the only one to have vocals besides Parfum) and in Machine a Voter where he sings between Jenny and Parfum. You will love how he sings in the two songs.

bro you mean before parfum d'hiver interprets lacoste ?or after him?
He comes after Parfum from minute 23.58 and interprets Serge Mabiala. Then after him Michigan interprets Baby Ndombe from minute 25.17. That guy. what's his name and when did he join because he is new. Which band was he in before? Or was he in reserve? He is so average compared to Ozil and Michigan but seems to enjoy a bigger role here than them.

Wasabo(is that his real name? I saw during his test they called him that but not sure if that is his real or stage name or the name of his crie and dance) is the real deal but will he last? Jamaique is average and if this guy stays he will automatically eclipse Jamaique. This Wasabo guy has the voice, stage presence, antics, and crowd-pulling stunts he will go far here in Maison Mere or elsewhere.
@SIMPLICITY who is the guy on the far far right with the hat on sings at 4:02 , I really like that guy he sings so well even at the Kaniama Kasese concert for the soldiers he stands out to me. Not necessarily for star potential but great voice
His name is Dinara. Controls his range well. But looks like a true ganja man
bro symplicity who do you see among them as a potential big star in the future?
It is something I have been musing over and it's funny how you bring it up. Like you are reading my mind . The next successful band leader 99% will come from Maison Mere since recent history has proven that it is here that they get formed(Ferre, Heritier, Fabro, and other less influential ones like Deplick, LBG, Robinho etc). For me I think it is Inongo. His versatility, charisma and being Werra's favourite keeps him ahead. I like Catholique the most for his angelic voice and hope it is him but I feel he may get the genius curse that other vocally gifted artists have undergone(Babia, Adjani, Aimelia, Likinga ya Ferre, Abel de Charme, Chai Ngenge etc). He is still second for me after Inongo
I listened and got so disappointed. I had waited to see if Koffi could redeem himself but from this evidence, I will just keep the memory and songs before Abracadabra. I will wait for the full release but am not holding my breath
On what evidence is this verdict based? How many albums have the two featured in? Or is it based on rehearsals? How any rehearsals do each of them do each week?
Watching a live stream. Someone should have had the courage to Dicap there’s two parts to the événement - pulling a crowd and putting on a solid performance. So far I’m only seeing the former with his tired band and the Tokoos tracklist.
He is the GOAT so even if he doles out crap most reviews will be very positive, maybe even here.....don't be surprised!!!
