If you liked Caluji, you would like this concert (fast forward to 8:08). This was a time when he and he alone controlled "l'ambiance" in the sebenes and generiques. Not going to lie to you, I miss those days. I think the moment he started sharing the animation sessions with Gentamicine was when he started losing his strength. Ahhh those days. This concert was also the prime of BCBG.
Who would you pick between Mboka Liya and Japonais Kioto? I feel like they rank the same in the solo department.
fally is still recording between ndiaye,f victeam studio and europe and is facing also increasing demand for songs so he takes his time as after this album its very likely that he focuses big time on his universal deal so no rumba album before years
This I can work with. Knowing that he' still working on the album and because of high demand for him, it makes sense. But I still think he can release one or two finished songs from the album before the whole deal is released. And I agree with comments that Heritier may not reach Fally's level. He's also wasting time on releasing his album as well.
These are two of many 16 second studio recording of Fally's next Generique posted on Youtube Feb 1 2016. Four months later, no words on when this will be released. Is this how big name artists make it? Those Teasers are promising but a whole generique would be good as well.
That style of snare drum is quite annoying and usually make the songs less enjoyable. But kudos to him. He's trying to stay afloat and relevant, but too many of them out there.
The Name Wenge Musica Maison Mere is a medium of exposure for most of these guys. And as pointed out the real members that made WMMM have dispersed or pursuing solo careers. Unless Werra can get the lost Dream Team back (which will probably never happen), people will always come and go. This is probably the reason why people like me would rather listen to WMMM up to TINDIKA LOKITO and not really much after that.
Although I don't understand much of what he's saying except the french parts. But I think he rightfully deserves to be credited with heralding in the Ndombolo style with Tutuu Caluji. He should also be credited with contributing to a different syle of solo guitar playing. Not a fast player as Flamme but he brought something to the table. His name will always come before Flamme Kapaya.....Japonais Kiodo!!!!!!!!! (in Celeo's voice in a la queue leu leu)
Nice video. But my observation of late, if you make a video and it doesn't have a whole bunch of these ()() ()() ()() ()() ()() (get it?) in there, people may not watch the video. Am I wrong or my mind is just playing tricks on me...lol
If Cindy wasn't in the picture, Fally should be the rightful heir of QL. He's the most successful product out of QL. I am sure we all can see that he has what it takes to make it and stay on top. Except, it will never happen. Ego, jealousy, and lack of interest will kill the idea...an oh..Cindy.
Wow... this is just too much to take in at once. But then this is rap music. You have to have something to go with the beats...even if it's bunch of incoherent B.S just to get attention.
This guy.....is one of the best, No arguments about that. He's missed in Congolese music. His riffs are just too good. I can see arc en Ciel locking himself in a room for seven days trying to practice those riffs. He'll come out frustrated. Arc is okay but nowhere close to Kapaya.
QL of Fally and co would stand the highest chance of regrouping with a killer show...
With Fally's current status, he would have to be super humble to stand on the same stage with Bouro, Soleil, Montana, Gibson Cardinal, and the guy with the shaky voice now in zaiko, and all of whom had failed CDs and musical careers. But never the less, I think it would still be one of the best shows ever if Koffi could get them all together one more time.
