Then in came Fally and all he did on Libre Parcours was to remix this album.

Can your elaborate on that? Both albums couldn’t be more different from each other

Karmapa used to be in the same position as Wazekwa, but he looks to adapted to the likes of Fally, Ferre & Koffi for his new album & google advertising. It seems every time I’m on YouTube lately, I’m getting a recommendation to watch Caligula.

The song is going to have a million views within a month and I’m happy he’s getting the attention he deserves

exactly most other artists have cemented official accounts for a moment now so people automatically go and check there
and lets be honest because of his personality(seen as too serious or too strange) he does not have constant buzz around him which makes some even get the million in two days

Congolese Music / Re: WHAT IS THE "ARRANGEMENT "AND THE " PROGRAMMING " ?
« Last post by adrien242 on January 23, 2018, 16:57 »
programming is the computer "tuning" of the songs (squelette ya nzembo) so something to do the beat either electronic drums or real one rythm guitar and bass then arrangement is during and after the proper recording,
lets take for example the generique of extra musica trop c est trop(since its the song i am listening to at the moment lol)
the arranger would be the guy who agreed along with the guys that there would be that change on rhythm with that "a mu ke kota" animation or how it started with chorus
i tried to explain it with simple words cause i never really got into technical words of music
so i assumed programming started from ramatoulaye's introduction
Thanks Archos  :)

Congolese Music / FAMOUS SOUTH AFRICAN TRUMPETER, HUGH MASEKELA JUST DIED
« Last post by Matebu on January 23, 2018, 16:19 »
So sad to loose such a legend of African and jazz music

From BBC
“Legendary jazz trumpeter Hugh Masekela, a leading figure in the struggle to end apartheid and "the father of South African jazz", has died aged 78.

In a statement, his family said he had "passed peacefully" in Johannesburg "after a protracted and courageous battle with prostate cancer".

Masekela gained global recognition with his distinctive Afro-Jazz sound and hits such as Soweto Blues.

The 1977 song became synonymous with the anti-apartheid movement.

In a statement, South African President Jacob Zuma said Masekela's death was "an immeasurable loss to the music industry and to the country at large".

Zuma continued: "His contribution to the struggle for liberation will never be forgotten."

Why is it that even when Wazekwa does music of honor like this one there are still no proper views? What is Wazekwa not doing right?
