ego also is a reason of not admitting or not realising having lost hunger,no artist has ever done that in DRC is a taboo like songs authors, while in reaiity having 40 years of career like many do is hard to achieve without periods of lack of self confidence, questioning everything and so on,its something totally normal and its the reason why in western music some even struggle to reach 10 years of career but in DRC they are too ashamed to admit it and take a break to come back stronger
maybe also because they fear that congolese public being a difficult one once you are gone for a break  you are done in the game forever so those who still have some attention on them either do the right things or try to maintain a certain impression or in the case of jb almost "rely" on their aura to still be present in people's debates
spot on kizito jb needs pressure or management

Werrason is someone who depend on good musicians to blossom, JB Mpiana only needs a chorus or a back up, so, the problem is not the Kibense and co, the problem is him.  Ant-Terri was a poor album because of recording, not because of the songs, that is why I believe a manager who would tell JB that, don't accept that quality, I am sure Makaba would have been the perfect foil of JB, My heart broke the day Makaba left.

My contribution to this debate....

Look at the type of musicians who are recruited in BCBG. A lot of them also behave like JB, they usually are not setting up themselves force solo career. They are contented as it is, I don't know if they are well paid.  Even those who try going solo do so half heartedly. Most of those who left disappear into oblivion or pursue other interests

As Archos has also pointed out the sponsors are also contented.

Further the recent music environment has not helped especially the lack of concerts abroad

Essentially whether BCBG  churn out albums, perform concerts, form splinter groups or not nobody is pushing hard. I noticed most of the the core BCBG fans have remained despite lack of action from the camp.

And that is why I said earlier "the album will be out when then the album will be out"

What other business interests does JB Mpiana have?

Because I think that he is content with where he is financially interns of his other income generation activities that doing music is no longer a priority.
