Zaiko has the album: Saisie en Douane, 20 ans déjà. But interestingly Nyoka Longo does not appear on it. Why? How could it happen they created a release without him? Could someone write something of the background of this release?

Sasie en Douane 20 Ans Deja is actually Baroza Bansimba's solo album to celebrate his 20th Anniversary of music-career. If you look on the album-cover there is written in small "Baroza &" and Zaiko huge, a tactic from the recordlabel to get more album sales. Baroza got fired from Zaiko for that in 1995 before returning in 1997 before his death. The generique is a medley of some of his solo's he played in Grand Zaiko Wawa and Zaiko Langa Langa.

JP Buse and Beniko Popolipo had the same problem in 1986 when Amour Thythyna got released. The recordlabel written in huge letters Zaiko and their names very small in the album-cover, to make musicfans think that it's an official Zaiko-album while its just a nzong-nzing.

What about the rest of the songs? I know some from different albums, like Deception B, but some of the songs, like Sasa, seems to be unique on this album. Or every song has an equivalent named differently on prior albums?

Anyway, there is a similar album like this: Zaiko Dansez Othule. That is without Nyoka Longo again, but with Roxy Tshimpaka. How come Nyoka was missing from that as well?

Talking about Zaïko I want to know the story between Lutchiana & Zaïko Langa Langa he said that he was the leader of Zaïko what happened?

Some songs were remixes of the album Baroza made along with Adamo and Malage in 1994. They were btw all three fired from Zaiko for doing that, because it was forbidden in the 90s to record nzong-nzing albums without authorization, but Baroza and Adamo ended up by returning after writing a letter to the administrtion. The rest of the album were new songs written by Baroza.

Dansez Otshule was also a nzong-nzing album. Zaiko's official albums in the 90s were Ici Ca Va (1990), Jamais Sans Nous (1991), Avis de Recherche (1995), Sans Issue (1996), Backline Lesson One (1997), Nous Y Sommes (1998) and Poison (1999)

Lutciana is troublesome guy. He used to be a dancer of Viva La Musica in the 80s with Petit Makambo, you can see them dancing in various concerts Viva La Musica performed for Tele Zaire. When he arrived in the late 80s he wanted to start his singing career, but he wasn't known, so he decided to use Luciana Demingongo's name for his first album. It angered Luciana allot, that's why he later added on his album a t to his artist name (Lutchiana), having already gained some succes. Having Angolan parents he wanted to come in Angola and make a name there. To get attention from the press, he claimed to be the leader of Zaiko Langa Langa. It created some controverse (some even believed them, because they didn't knew that bandmembers and only knew the band from it's name), but later on he apologized. He created a band there in Luanda and started a new musiccareer. Using the name Karawa Musica for his band (Karawa Musica is in reality the name of the band Bipoli, Esperant Kisangani, Aziza and Julva created after leaving Papa Wemba back in 1977)

Does anyone have the vhs of this album I remember Adamo posting two clips from the album and one clip was filmed in Kimpuanza bar so I'm guessing Baroza returned Zaïko before his passing.

He returned in 1997. After the Backline Lesson One-album failling and Zaiko wanting to recruit another solist. If you look Daniel 6000s interview with Soukous Congo you can hear him saying that Baroza was present when they recruited him just before his passing. Back in those days you couldn't play anymore, because he seriously sick.

Thank you for the info, now I understand the circumstance of these albums much more. By the way, who was the creative force behind Zaiko Dansez Othulé? You said Saisie en Douane was Barroza's idea, who was the main figure behind this one?

On Dansez Otshule you had Roxy Tshimpaka playing all solo's. Saisi en Douane was Baroza's solo album with himself playing bass, rhytm and lead. Guy Matope doing the programmation and keyboards. The album was recorded within 72 hours (3 days).

Actually the person who was behind of the Dansez Otshule album was Vincent Dussat a vocalist from Congo Brazzaville.
