What caused the remaining members of Quartier Latin to leave after Fally Ipupa left to record Droit Chemin? Was it because they thought they could have success by themselves or did they started to fallout with Koffi.
I feel like Koffi wanted to wipe the slate clean after Fally left because others like Felly Tyson and Bouro Mpela started to leave which hurt Koffi deeply. Which is why he seemed to put a lot of effort into Les Minuers, but ironically he changed his mind and started focusing only on Cindy
Whatever happened to Diego Cao? I heard he was with Werrason for Temps Presents, but I never heard much from about him. He was such a talented atalaku!
You can tell they lost the majority of their members cause Spino and a lot of the members from the previous album aren't credited or appear on the cover of the Mouna
Blanchard isn't wrong; JB Mpiana has a daughter with a pretty nice voice but she is not in music. Koffi has a son that plays guitar pretty well, but we haven't seen him in any band. They've seen the ups and downs of the industry so that their children can pursue careers without those risks.
I'm certain that if Babia Ndonga had never encountered drugs and enjoyed an uninterrupted career with Quartier Latim, then maybe his son Prince would be studying either in Europe or Kinshasa not fighting for a career in music.
Didn't Ferréol Gassackys resigned from being their manager to pursue politics? I remember him usually being present for their major concerts from 1996 until 2002 because it suddenly started to become difficult for the group to get visas to record Obligatoire in Europe. I suppose him leaving wad not natural, because he never mentions anything about the band nor Herman Ngassaki (who is his cousin).
As for Extra Musica Horizon, their rhythm guitarist MUST avoid using the same chord harmonies Zangul been using since Kindoki. They also need to let Zaparo dictate NOT Sonor the progression of the guitar solo according to how he animates. If you listen to past Extra generiques like Trop C'est Trop and especially Etat Major, you'll see what I'm recommending.
Their rhumbas are pretty good, so there's no advice needed there. But people mostly respect Extra for their sebenes, which have been seriously lacking since La Main Noire. If they can give each other the space to try something different, the new music will be amazing!
The sound shouldn't change too much; Extra Musica Zangul and International had similar sound despite the split. Same with Wenge Musica Masion Mere and Les Marquis de Masion Mere so on and so forth
If I'm not mistaken, they are the closest in terms of friendship within the band. Their friendship began long before they played music seriously, unlike Roga's friendship with Sonor and the others.
