Yes of all time. They always have their unique voices. I used to get confused their voices between Babia and Eric lol

My favorite singer of QL is Bouro Mpela; he's a skilled dancer (sorry Eric Tutsi & Babia Ndonga) , had great songs credited to him (including Da Silva from QL Academia's sanction) and was sorely missed on albums he didn't participate in (Attentat & Monde Arabe).

My favorite instrumentalist from QL is the drummer Champion Djikapela; powerful snare rolls with beautiful high hats thrown in to spice up the sebene...Papy Kakol should take notes lol

As for animators...Mboshi and Dolce! Those guys gave us those memorable cries for Ultimatum, Loi, and Sanction!

My favorite QL singer is either Willy, Modogo, Bouro or Sam. I don't have 1 at the moment.

Favorite dancer of all time: Bouro and Depitcho

Favorite female dancer: Zina Bilaho because she's so fine 

Favorite drummer: Esthetique of course! Best drummer of all time

Favorite Guitarist/Bassist: Lebou Kabuya because his distortion was fire back then! Rocky Blanchand because his bass was much better than Binda Bass my opinion

Favorite animators: That's hard. I gotta put Mboshi and Somono 1st. CNN was good as well.

You've got a pretty solid list too! Rocky Blanchard is the best bassist Koffi ever had, but Clovis from Attentat was a close second. His bassline really slapped and the strings plucks always had a unique reverb.

For me, it's a tie between Fally Ipupa and Depitcho as far as dancing is concerned.

Lebou Kabuya is seriously underrated, he played very strong on Sanction and Volte de Face. He is a natural soloist, especially for playing sebene!

 Sanction was a great album for QLA! I always play Sort and 100 Ans!

I liked that Willy Bula could also be an animator and sing as well. Modogo for the deep voice. Sam Tshintu for singing, and dancing too.
QL Dancer: Suzuki, Bouro, Fally (I admit, when it came to the solo parts, these were some people I looked forward to)
QL Female Dancer (my favourite section because I am female haha): Zina Bilaho. For me, she was the best dancer QL ever had, consistent, effortless, and she was a Cheftaine for some time?
Other female dancers that I take note of (old): Rosette Kamono (the 1st ever female dancer for QL?) Mireille Konde, Rita Dembo. I think Fifi as well, but back in the day (pre-1995) , Claudine AC Milan, Sandralina,
Latest/current dancers: I liked Patricia Apataki, but she just disappeared of late. Mami Itanzoma. some QL dancers where recruited based on looks, but where not as charismatic as the dancers back in the day. Some I just do not know their names.
QL Drummer: Look, Champion only because it was during the "Sebene" era. Otherwise, Kaps Kapangala
QL Guitarist/Bassist: Do Akongo, Beniko Popolipo, Felly Tyson for the solo/mi solo

I need to update mine. It keeps changing. Modogo’s voice will always be the smooth one. Kaps de Kaps (Drummer) also does Mukuta Munene dance. He does it way better than QL members. Kero and Brigade were another great duo ??

Babia Ndonga chokoro. This man could sing

very tough choice,there has been so much talent in quartier latin
but if i had for example to make a top three singers it would be babia,modogo and sam,sam was basically not that good of a singer but he became too good and intelligent to adapt to different songs which is why i pick him,in viagra he literally had fun
 as atalakus easy mboshi somono cnn those three have made by a countrymile more history than the rest

Beniko Popolipo was the brain behind the rhythm of many songs (Parking Ya Baba, Micko, Andrada, Number One, etc.), he was very important for the progess of Rocky Blanchard, Lebou Kabuya, Felly Tyson, Ridens Makosso,... who he coached and they are all till this day grateful for that till this day. He helped Koffi with leading Quartier Latin who were back in 1993 very young (some 21, 22, 23,..) and difficult to handle with.

Do Akongo was the guy who brought the Zebola-rhythm to Quartier Latin which came the identical rhthm of Koffi & QL. Which later on also other artists used in their albums. Ferre for example in Jao Ndombele. The same Do Akongo gave Koffi excellent songs as goshtwriter (Sos, Automate & Spaghetti for some examples). Himself released also excellent on his name songs like Fois Cent, Sens Inverse, Avion, Kot Kot & Coucou in Quartier Latin and Koffi's albums.

Champion Djikapela, because he's an excellent drummer and far better than Coco Tchomba & Kaps Kapangala. He was one of the rare drummers in big bands who was hitting all pieces of the drumset while most Congolese drummers only focues on the snaredrums. Back in the days Koffi had always to invite Djudju-chet Luvengoka to drum for him in his solo-albums (Noblesse Oblige & V12). Because Coco Tchombo & Kaps Kapangala were very limited as drummer. But since Champion Djikapela, he never had to call Djudju again. Champion used to drum for Lavignoria Esthetique and Koffi was amazed about the way was drumming and send Binda Bass to get him in Quartier Latin. Alot of people were calling him the copycat of Titina Al Capone who was then drumming Wenge 4x4, because he was always smilling when he was drumming and was like Titina hitting al pieces of the drumset. It would have been nice if he stayed long in Quartier Latin like his friend Binda Bass. I liked that Kompa-style doing on the drums before Koffi did his entrance in the Licoln Center or when the dancers came in Olympia. I also liked the way how Koffi, Somono, Mboshi, CNN and presentator Consty Eka were screaming his name Champion!!!!! Esthetique!!! Stoumy !!! Djikpela!!! and then him replying by hitting the tombs. I wonder how Coco Tchomba felt when he heard Koffi screaming Champion very hard in the beginning of his song Boussouno.

You can feel that Champion know also to play other styles than Ndombolo & Rumba. I wonder why he's not very active like Simolo Katondi and Djudju-chet Luvengoka as session drummer. Because he's very good. The way Somono mentioned his name in Loi, Koffi Olomide letting him dance in the videoclips of Ultimatum and Loi made him be the most famous drummer of Africa. He name was more known then the singers of Quartier Latin and all atalaku's. It's sad that Champion didn't use for a soukous or coupe decale-career or something like to become a big star like Awilo Longomba or Diblo Dibala who were both instrumentists.

I liked his songs alot. Number Two (which was normally dedicated to his ex'wife but Simon Mbongo bought which the being dedicated to him) and Retour Riva.

I hope Coco Tchomba can take consolation in the fact that his first credited a song to a group album was and remains a classic!

If we're being honest, Coco Tchomba knew his days drumming for Quartier Latin was over the day he was sidelined in favor for non-member Djudjuchet Luvengoka to play drums throughout the recording of V12.

It's almost criminal how underused Rocky Blanchard was in Quartier Latin, they didn't even need to recruit Clovis. Those playful strings and reverbing fret slaps from Attentat could easily be produced and perfected by Rocky, see the song below for proof (opening bassline & 3:40 second mark)

You can never go wrong with Esthetique. He is always the beast to this day! It's good to see that he's doing well. Let's not forget his singing skills which cracks me up lol
