Sounds a lot better than the ones from last week. I need to hear more, but this guy is the best one so far.
I’m sorry but I really do miss Makaba. He’s a lot more creative than these guys. They’re all just playing the notes and there’s no improv
Why everybody hating on Makaba? Can someone give me the full details of his solo? Actual music created by him?

He’s actually really good. He only really gets opportunities during repetitions and concerts. Werrason doesn’t give any opportunities to soloists anymore other than the usual generique or so. So it’s mostly Werrasons fault for not letting him reach his full potential on albums. Are you referring to Bikorine? Bikorine has been the main soliste since Kimbangu left. He played in all the albums after Kimbangu. Makaba plays well though many like the fast paced and complex tunes of Flamme. To me having more than 1 soloist creates healthy competition and creativity like previously with Japonnais, Kapaya, Mboka Liya, Christian, etc.
