Listen when Koffi was actually relevant for us. Listen to this great song with Julia.

Franco, Koffi is still relevant for me and a lot of my friends over here

So when one says that Ferre sings monotonous Rhumba, is he telling me that Tantot Plutot sounds the same as Kiti ya Libala? Very biased analysis.Secondly, he criticises Ferre for not giving a chance to his singers. I would agree with Romeo that Ferre is just starting his solo career and should still headline most of the songs. To his credit, if you compare the albums that came out around the same time i.e Kosa Leka and Abracadabra it is in Boite Noire where band members have been given more time to sing. Fally does it almost by himself the whole album while for Abracadabra it is Koffi and Cindy. But i still find a lot of songs to enjoy from Abracadabra and Kosa Leka. I try to be objective and enjoy any good music regardless of the artist and his behavior. I am not the moral police some of us try to be

Jdog, do you think JB is ever going to give us something worth our time after the crap that was Soyons Serieux. Apart from Djino's and Mente's songs the rest are not worthy of a Wenge great
The generiques and Djino's song spoilt the album, the rest of the songs were fantastic.

Sly, come on, is there a problem with my musical taste or do i need to clean my ears to be more appreciative? . Maybe it could just be the diversity that God gave us. One man's treasure being another's trash. Apart from Cherie Enleve and My Love there is no other song in Soyons Serieux I wanna listen to more than once. Maybe Fudji's . Just a little!!!!!!

Werrasonique comes across as too personal. I know Koffi has done some bad things and it is not my place to defend him but i still wait with baited breath for 13eme Aporte, hoping it will be as cool as the Effrakatas and Monde Arabes of this world. Ranting and raving against him in this forum will do no one any good. Just bad for your blood pressure

Haha Emo you should change your name to EmoIpupa because it doesn't look like your with JB or Bcbg anymore.

I might change gradually . I am just not sure what name to give myself. Fally Ipupa is making JB and some other greats irrelevant because  he understands that to keep floating above the tide, you need music out after the other. He also understands publicity .
Just wait(if you can) for Balle De Matche it might be something that will satisfy you.

why is there always too much venom against Mopao in this forum? or is it just me? the guy has given us some wonderful songs over the years. he may be a bastard ever since he found Cindy but cut the guy some flak at least!!!

notice that the criticism is rarely about music, most of us know and say he did/does good/ very good/excellent with his music
its more his behaviour which is questioned
Koffi stopped playing mastercuts and pleasurable music on the album V12. Loi, Droit de Veto and Effrakata are tolerable but not in the same league as other albums produced during that time by other musicians. Everything after the 3 I mention is total shit. Its beyond me to imagine that there are still people that actually think that this peanut-square-head-bow legged-moron was any good after 2001........Sala Noki, Full Option, Feux de l'amour, Fula Ngenge, Solola Bien, TH, Ala Une, A la que leu leu, Kibuisa Mpimpa, Longue Histioire, Avis de recherche, Poison are some of the far superior albums that were created in the era of the millenium. Its wishful thinking that Koffi produced an album which can be spoken of in the same sentence as any the albums I stated above.

Werrasonique  why apply expletives? i know some very good music to come from Koffi as recently as Monde Arabe. People have DIFFERENT tastes of music. So when you say V12 was the last good album, i wonder who you speak for. Definitely not me

I would like to thank Fally for being the first artist of the 5th generation to do this history!!!

ferre started before Fally. its called Petite ya Quartier

I like this boy. Without him, Congolese music would have completely died.

Emo, did you forget about Ferre or you are a Fally fan.Methinks Ferre is also doing some nice things. Even Ferre is producing a group album. Started even before Fally.

emo, i love ferre's music to death but this chetani thing troubles me as well. Sly's explanation does little to calm my nerves. even if it is borrowed from a song he composed, chetani still means Satan. Unless it is a Lingala word with a different meaning. Sly?
