PRIVATE LIFE AND PERSONALITY

didier tshienda adikey ndebe was born in 1971 in the small city of idiofa in the region of bandundu and is the third of a family of 17 children from different mothers
he is himself father of 7 "official kids",9 in total and was recently engaged to brigitte teka who is often dedicated by other artists including hims
after first school years in kikwit still in his native region,he moves to kinshasa and more precisely the quarter of yolo nicknamed dallas in kinshasa
in his private life, didier is a calm and polite guy who does not talk too much and a loyal friend who kept most of his childhood friends until today
his other passion apart music is football which he was practicing in streets of yolo but suffered a serious injury which made him abandon
he was nicknamed lofombo by his friends,based on a national team footballer well known for his very strong shots

ROLE MODELS AND DEBUT AS A SINGER

didier grew listening to tabu ley rochereau's music at home with his dad who was a great fan of him and later on he discovered two other models who will influence his future career of tenorist: evoloko jocker who was even living in the same street in the quarter of yolo aswell as papa wemba
his passion for music grows thanks to them as he tries whenever he can,to replicate their voices while singing their songs
debaba  of viva la musica and choc stars and djo nolo of bozi boziana's anti choc also inspired him but much less than evoloko and wemba
apart for all those tenorists, he is also very impressed by his "village uncle" king kester emeneya whose songs "teint de bronze" and"ngabelo" are among the very best of all time in congolese music
the last role model dider had was jb mpiana who he is discovered after returning to kinshasa
 in fact,aged 14,when he started singing at church and in small street groups his school results drop a lot and it makes his parent angry and then sent him back to idiofa at a boarding school
but even then  he could not resist to temptation of singing and was rehearsing with a street group alongside apocalypse ya jean of viva la musica,lamy lamiel his cousin and elder brother of miel de son of maison mere
4 years later,when he is back in kinshasa,he co-creates yolo group s'il vous plait la gamme with the likes of shella mputu,chou lay one of the children of evoloko,diego cao and didier anaconda of wenge tonya tonya,blaise belo musikasika,christian na nzenze of viva la musica and quaetier latin...
in the meantime he is approached by adolphe dominguez who is impressed by the wy their group performs and he becomes very close to him(even becoming his brother in law for over a decade)
this is the birth of "didier lacoste" his artist name, given by adolphe and inspired by a certain shirt from the french brand lacoste adolphe offered him during one his return from europe and which didier particularly loved wearing often when they were rehearsing together
their group start performing sometimes before wenge musica concerts and start dreaming of a great career,and start rehearsing their own songs to prepare an album
lacoste also spents more and more time with adolphe dominguez,when he definitely returns to kinshasa,and participates alongisde boguys bompema(who provides song to adolphe)² and serge mabiala to preparation of adolphe's future songs in wenge musica until the split(lacoste in the role of jb,and mabiala in the role of werra)
while rehearsing for their album,chou lay and diego left to create s'il vous plait la gamme 5/5 and both miss the first official appeareance on tv,at a concert destined to young street or quarter groups yet to make it at high level,organised  by journalist zacharie bababaswe

in the mid 1990's while lacoste and his friends have recorded their album, lacoste is also part of the unofficial wenge junior composed by him,jordan kusa and his brother sakoko and many other young guys
unfortunately for them,album is never released but a couple of songs are given to national tv
 lacoste keeps working in private with adolphe aswell and when in 1997 wenge musica split happens and adolphe werra and masela create wenge musica maison mere he is brought in by adolphe
 in fact while recruiting musicians,all three leaders came with "their musicians":adolphe brought in lacoste celeo and flamme
this is the birth of wenge musica maison mere where didier lacoste shares tenor role with ferre chair de poule  and adjani sesele
when they record first album, lacoste is given space to impress and more precisely in the song chantal switzerland where he is given tenor role in the chorus
apart from his singing skills,lacoste will also offer songs for album solola bien the second group album,which are credited to  the group leaders
in 2000  when the group starts recording solo album of werrason now the only leader of the group after adolphe's departure,didier lacoste once again contributes with a couple of songs and as usual his voice in vocals and in chorus
but one year later  he is forced out of the group,before the release of that album
in fact,while  going to airport to welcome a friend coming from kinshasa he meets adolphe who was on the verge of going to kinshasa and goes to salute him  and as some members of maison mere staff are also there they report it to leader werrason and lacoste is handed long term suspension and all his efforts to give any explanation to werrason are rejected
this is how lacoste calls adolphe  to co-create with him wenge tonya tonya

So Kibuisa Mpimpa was an album with songs who where mostly written by Maison Mere members, because I know that the song Grand Monsieur was done by Baby Ndombe and Le Vent de Soir by Ferre. Which were the songs that Lacoste did contribute in Solola Bien & Kibuisa Mpimpa ??

So Diego Cao is that old? He started his carrier with Lacoste.

After saluting adolphe and making werrason angry,lacoste is informed by aimelia that werrason says if he want to be accepted back in the group he has to go on tv to insult adolphe which lacoste refuses as he considers adolphe like his own elder brother
lacoste  still tried  to see werra with the help of secretary elliot mondobe but werra tells him " masela and adolphe went and i did not beg them you think i will do it with you?"
this was too much for lacoste who then surprised adolphe at hotel and told him "vieux,i am with you now,lets go back to kinshasa and create our group"
two months after,they decide to  go to kinshasa together but adolphe is blocked as in airport there is a big incident between his fans and werra's
lacoste then goes to kinshasa alone to start recruiting musicians and his parts  in kibuisa mpimpa are erased and interpreted by aimelia and adjani
he takes with him two former members of svp la gamme atalaku diego cao and singer didier anaconda and recruits atalakus brigade and kerozene(who will leave during intense rehearsals days prior to their first official concert)
once recruiting steps and preparation of concerts over, lacoste is presented as the president of wenge tonya tonya while adolphe is the leader
they start recording album affaire ya tonya tonya in kinshasa and touring in congo in the same time and once again lacoste contributes in terms of songs
their first album gets a good reception from fans and it opens door for europe tours
lacoste is the one who signed most of the contracts and presented them to adolphe(thanks to his relationships he made during his maison mere europe tours)and he is a pivotal member of tonya tonya's concert in legendary hall of olympia in paris
during the same year,they start recording second album mouna and that is when things turn sour in his relationship with adolphe,as adolphe's friends influence him,telling him that lacoste is threatening his leadership since he has a lot of freedom,he signs contracts,looks for sponsors,gives money to musicians and so on
 and from then adolphe starts treating lacoste differently,removes him status of president and turns shella mputu into the second personnality of the group,refuses to pay any studio session destined to lacoste
another reason of their fallout will be adolphe "stealing" lacoste one of his girlfriends,but when adolphe's wife tries to hold talks with both to solve their problems they make sure this factor is not mentioned
 after long negotiations, adolphe accepts lacoste's participation in album mouna and especially the song inspiration
but once album is out,tensions appear again as lacoste continues making important decision for the gorup and the final nail in the coffin will be his concert in a paris nightclub without adolphe but with tonya tonya musicians
lacoste is fired from the group and ponders going back to kinshasa to form his own band,but one day in paris he is in contact with werra's wife ma mpata who tells him why not come back to the group and promises him she will convince werra to accept him back
his return in maison mere is not well seen by some maison mere members but in september of 2002 lacoste is officially presented at la zamba and apologizes to fans
one month after he is victim of a serious accident,due to satanic pacts he had signed for the success of tonya tonya and this makes it impossible for him to join the group in europe and participate to album a la queue leu leu
40 days after his accident, lacoste has recovered and starts to rehearse with musicians left behind
when the group returns and performs at stade des martyrs didier lacoste is asked by maison mere fans to kneel down and he accepts doing it(despite describing it as the most humiliating moment of his career and one of the worst of his life)
one year later when some musicians form les marquis he remains with werrason and will have a bigger role in the group and even becomes the chef d'orchestre
He participates in maxi-single alerte general and later in werrason's second solo album temoignage
two years later he participates in maxi single sous sol and adds his first songs médicament which is a great success
and when there are rumours that ferre chair de poule could rejoin the group lacoste expresses on tv his delight and support to that possibility
the success of his song medicament leads to lacoste having bigger ambition,and preparing secretly and album, and he is also suspected to leave the group alongside aimelia kabosé and adjani if they go to europe, he is the only one to make it on the list and he brings with him his plan of album
once in europe,lacoste showed signs of frustration with his role of group member as he  yelled just before a concert on  a younger member(prince) as he was upset of still wearing uniform like other musicians
but lacoste makes a massive mistake as he informs some werrason friends about his plan of releasing his own album and going solo,and from then relationship cahnge between them
and its even worse when during what will be lacoste's last europe tour,he starts missing concerts for his studio sessions and claims he  is mourning of one of his wife's relatives
he announces in brussels  he is creating a group,but when asked in paris by  ma mpata,he swears that he is not leaving
few days after,he has a playback in brussels while maison mere has a concert in paris,following that,he is given a very long suspension
he contacts celeo,roi david and flamme kapaya to participate to his album but at the end they do not participate as they are still maison mere members
while preparing his first album "c'est par là,la solution" he recruits with the help of his cousin chai ngenge  a group of 24 musicians(which will become bigger with time)
in mid 2007 he comes back to congo to have his very first concert,and choses to perform in his native region where he is given  a warm reception and maximum blessings( and witchcraft power aswell)
in july album is out but album overall is not succesful,only two songs are appreciated and in kinshasa lacoste struggles to have contracts for concerts
music critics say that he did not take enough time to prepare that album and was too overwhelmed by success of medicament that he though time has come to go solo
he then takes time to record his second album and with advice from marie paul instead of doing  only a normal generique he goes for a folkloric one aswell inspired by the dance boniom promoted by folkloric group mabele elisi
 and boom,that generique is a great success and motivates lacoste to announce a concert at zenith in september of 2010 and later wins two awards in 2011 best atalaku and best generique
after kingongolo,he announces third album "rouge" or red in english which is a hidden allusion to  the human sacrifices he made to make it in the industry
but seeing that he is too often asked by journalists about this title,he changes strategy and  releases two years after some of the songs of that album under title circulation mutambu
in that album once again its the generique which catches attention, he performs three times at fikin during holidays and also is the first musician to play two days in a row at hotel venus
success of that generique lead to contact with skol beer but he did not accept their condition of one year to prove his worth then  maybe a long contract
he is currently working on a "world" album and maxi-single corde au cou(neck in a noose) to allude to the fierce competition he thinks he gives fally and ferre

ahh okay.  That song of Obiang Nguema was destroyed by mabanga-vocals. I wonder what his reaction was after hearing that song

I knew about it but I felt it was just rumours, but I really don't understand why they keep doing it, I mean in the biography when Lacoste did it, it wasn't a success, Bill and Kabose keep doing that Kindoki shit and Bill starting to disappear, and I never heard of Kabose hit song since he has gone solo.
