This week and next week, I will show you moments between King Kester Emeneya and Papa Wemba as Kester Emeneya vs Papa Wemba.

Kester Emeneya and Papa Wemba= no beef
Kester Emeneya vs Papa Wemba= beef

Video one
In this interview, Kester Emeneya is pretty mad. He was taking shots at his fellow musicians like Fally Ipupa, Ferre Gola, Werrason, Felix, Bozi Boziana, and others. He is suggesting that they are giving nonsense music. Kester Emeneya also insults Koffi Olomide and Papa Wemba especially Wemba. Kester suggests Papa Wemba promotes the stupid idiotic types of musicians. Ouch. Papa Wemba will not like this video.
This is the round of Kester Emeneya vs Papa Wemba.

History of issues between Kester Emeneya and Papa Wemba

As many know Kester Emeneya was one of the many stars of Papa Wemba's legendary band Viva La Musica. That band had Thierry, Reddy Amisi, Stino Mubi, Esperent, Dindo Yogo, Djuna Djanana, Debaba, Bendo Son, Fafa de Molokai, Sec Bidens, Bongo Wende, and many others. Kester Emeneya joined this band back in 1977 when Papa Wemba made this band. It was said that Kester and Papa Wemba were close in Viva La Musica and Papa Wemba loved Emeneya's voice and often chanted his name as well as Koffi Olomide. Ironic huh. Emeneya and Olomide were Papa Wemba's favorite people in Viva La Musica.

However bad relations began when Papa Wemba was wanting to work with other musicians. Many in Viva La Musica were not happy especially Kester Emeneya. In fact this was the reason why Emeneya left Viva La Musica in 1983 to form Victoria Elesien where Kester would later become King Kester. But Wemba really had no devastating impact because there he would bring the next big things. Michael Jackson fanatic Stino Mubi, Luciana, and of course Reddy Amisi. Amisi especially would be a big person for Viva La Musica making great music. But Wemba was hoping to make new music with Emeneya but he refused. It was said Papa Wemba wanted to make Wake Up with Kester but he refused. Instead that song was made with Koffi Olomide which was a big song in 1996. After that, Wemba and Emeneya's relationship was going worse and worser. It looks like in 2000s, Kester and Wemba were dicing each other and speaking ill of each other.

The real reason that Emeneya and other musicians left Viva La Musica in October 1982, was that Papa Wemba didn't pay them enough money after abandon them for 7 months in Kinshasa. Emeneya and the 12 apostles of Victoria Eleison does always state that in their interviews. The musicians of Viva La Musica are since the begining till today never paid. They always lives with money from mabanga or money from their wives or family.

Emeneya and Wemba were desipit of being rivalsm still big friends, till that Emeneya discovered that Wemba slept with his wife.

Thank you Mvulusi. You are right. Not helped by that Wemba did not pay them which was part of it also. The wife of Emeneya that Papa Wemba slept with was the wife that had the son who was soldier in France. This was of the ultimate reasons why Emeneya would take so many shots at Wemba.

Round 3: Papa Wemba takes a shot at Kester Emeneya

Months before Kester Emeneya died, as I said relations between Emeneya and Wemba were terrible. This once again proves it. Right around summer 2013, Papa Wemba took another shot at Kester Emeneya. Here, Papa Wemba says that Kester Emeneya is a great singer but a terrible father. In fact Papa Wemba goes to say that Kester cannot commit to one woman and he seems to enjoy divide the family and has no heart for his family. As we later find out, Wemba slept with one of Kester's ex-wives.

This is Kester Emeneya vs Papa Wemba round

We see here Papa Wemba just being the man of the show with Emeneya in Ngonda. You can see he is the one doing the animations while Papa Wemba dancing on the song Ngonda. It was interesting. Wemba was the hyper man back in the day.
