Congolese Music / Re: I JUST CLOCKED THAT TUTU CALLUDJI, TITINA, AND MBOKA LIYA WERE ON THIS ALBUM« on: October 06, 2026, 00:38 »indeed solid album, damien aziwa could have pulled a decent group career aswell,he had soleil arca diniero titi firenze late celullaire deba oneil and some others but he was not as determined as jolino for example to record several times with the guys If you were to ask all the major leaders of bands the most important thing to remember or master as you build your orchestra from scratch, in the early years, what would they tell you? I'm always fascinated to know when the leaders of QL and Maison Mere or Heritier and Fabregas realized they made it. That they broke the solo artist curse of the one impactful album then done, it's interesting seeing how they knew they were here for a long career 4
Congolese Music / Re: WERRASON SINGING AUGUSTINE WITH HIS FRIEND SAM TSHINTU IN A CONCERT« on: September 30, 2026, 22:39 »and also its a good way to shut down polemic,a lot of maison mere fans were upset because there was an old video of early 2010's and which resurfaced of sam criticizing lyrics of a song saying that a certain part did not make much sense and it happened to be a werra song I forget they were schoolyard friends, they must look back at those clips like "wow, we came a really long way"! 5

Congolese Music / Re: HERITIER RECRUITED HIS 10TH EX VILLANOVA MEMBER« on: September 28, 2026, 23:03 »he has got mad cocky especially after the guys ran away in france, what lead to pepe kalle's son and co leaving is that he was flexing on them the caption of him having earned 85k dollars of copyright across the world while they were on a 4 month without salary as they sat at rehearsals like clowns and he was passing the phone on their faces with a big smile Fiston Yampanya is the singer's name and son of Pepe Kalle. When 5eme leadership doesn't share glory like before, what celebrity can you leverage to sustain you in-between tours when there's no salary? Fabregas is forgetting that Werrason actually gave his artists space to build aura in concerts and with vocals on albums. These guys are hardly promoted, but I understand your point 7
Congolese Music / Re: HERITIER RECRUITED HIS 10TH EX VILLANOVA MEMBER« on: September 28, 2026, 20:35 »
Why is he treating his musicians so poorly? Is he just super cheap about salaries or does he like to bully talent to maintain dominance?

Congolese Music / Re: WERRA WANTS TO OPEN A JACKPOT OF 5 DOLLARS FROM EACH FAN TO REWARD KAKOL LOYALTY« on: September 28, 2026, 14:20 »
Kakol is the last person I'd personally pay in Wenge Musica MM as a fan lol I do appreciate his loyalty but nah, dude did too many people dirty 😂

Congolese Music / Re: Koffi Olomide - Gabriel« on: September 28, 2026, 01:56 »surely the ritual of hammering jack daniels before recording koffi must realise that it does not sit well with the body at 70 compared to at 50 so he is forced to cover up with autotune I've given up on his new music, his voice is just too raspy at that point. He's not taking care of himself to the degree the music demands. 10
Congolese Music / Re: Archive; Adolphe Dominguez & Wenge Tonya Tonya live at Studio Maman Ngebi (2001)« on: September 28, 2026, 01:54 »and that was exactly the target, they could not really care much about taking him back especially as in that department of tenorist heritier had risen to level of the prepared heir to ferre via rivalry but at least the goal of "breaking the fence" in rival camp was reached Extra Musica Nouvel Horizon never recovered since the first wave of defections (Willo, Bonbon Rouge, Ben Mambrik, and FBI Sosa Mambu). Who knows if Zaparo is coming back? I think they'll be around, but they definitely lost momentum that the new recruits couldn't reclaim. 11
Congolese Music / Re: Archive; Adolphe Dominguez & Wenge Tonya Tonya live at Studio Maman Ngebi (2001)« on: September 26, 2026, 21:28 »R.I.P. Diego Cao and Fiston Bass If you could pinpoint exactly where things went downhill, where do you think Adolphe lost momentum beyond repair? Was it just too competitive at the time between the branches of Wenge for there to be BCBG, Masion Mere, and Tonya Tonya? Because they had to also contend with the orchestra of Papa Wemba and Koffi Olomide Olomide as well. I feel like Felix Wazekwa put a self-imposed ceiling on potential of Cultural Pays Vie by refusing to play the politics of the industry, which cost him Stade de Martyrs and other prestigious concerts in Europe until Olympia. But by then, 5eme was already going and that was pretty much his plateau of popularity 12
Congolese Music / Re: (Rare) Koffi Olomidé celebrating Quartier Latin's 11th anniversary (1997)« on: September 26, 2026, 05:35 »There's no artist that performed that much at Intercontinental (nowadays Pullman Kinshasa Grand Hotel) than Koffi. I wonder how much performed there in hotel since 1987. Because each year he used to perform at least 3 times. Inter used to have alot of signifiance in our music, performing there was like you reached a certain level. It's a bit sad that Pullman lost his prestige to Rotana Kin Plaza, Hotel du Fleuve and Hotel Hilton. What made Tshala Muana an important mediator between Koffi and Kabila, was he a big fan of her music? Was she a big supporter of ADFL? 13
Congolese Music / Re: Marie Paul is furious against Diego Music for hiding his album« on: September 25, 2026, 18:16 »Marie Paul said that he gave the recording files of his album to Diego Music, but that he never released the album. When he asked about it, Diego acted like he never received something from him. It made Marie Paul furious as he hadn't paid anything for the recordings and mixing. He indirectly claimed that rivals paid him money to not release the album. Marie Paul sees it as a betrayal as Diego Music is related to his ex'wife Mayimona Always keep a copy of recordings, you never know... 14

R.I.P. Diego Cao and Fiston Bass
Adolphe shouldn't have listened to gossip about Lacoste being big headed, because he risked everything by leaving Wenge Musica Masion Mere to follow Tata. 15
