Congolese Music / What's your top favorite Koffi Olomide & Q.L. album? From Lowest to Highest« on: February 09, 2021, 06:12 »What's your favorite Koffi Olomide & Q.L. album? From Lowest to Highest (Start from the bottom) Like example "Top 10 or 20 or entire favorite albums". Then you can also explain what you love about this album each of them if you want. Mines are... 1. V12 (The best Koffi album, hands down. Phenomenal vocals. All tracks = Excellent Two Baritones: Suzuki & Modogo + Two Tenors: Babia & Eric = Perfect harmony. Good Sebenes. Great Arrangements and many more) 2. Magie (The Best Q.L. album of all time my opinion, #1. Bring back so many memories in the 90s. This was when Koffi opened doors many members of Q.L. like Babia, Modogo, Eric and Sam. Every time I'm in New York, I think of this album as well. All the songs = Love it, but the song Magie is my fav by the band. I mean, there are a lot of things to say about this record in positive vibes.) 3. Attentat (As a 7 year old boy, when I first heard this album with 2nd Generation Q.L. like Fally, Gibson, Soliel, Lola, I gotta get use to them so it took time to get to know them after. This album is 2nd favorite of Koffi. Reminds me being in Europe that time as well.) 4. Ultimatum(2nd favorite album by the band. Good line-up: Sam, Modogo, Bouro and Suzuki. Ali Deb's (Merci Modogo) my fav song of the album. 5. Loi 6. Koweit Rive Gauche (One of my fav albums by Koffi.) 7. Noblesse Oblige (That album came out when I was few months old. Childhood memories.) 8. Pas De Faux Pas (I love that album, debut of Q.L. I felt like PDFP was a underrated album. African people don't play this album at current congolese parties smh.) 9. Droit de Veto (This is the only album that my parents didn't listen to lol. I love songs like Rond Point, Droit de veto, Sens Inverse, Prototype, Urgence.) 10. Monde Arabe (That album used to be on repeat in pre-teen years. Best song: Eputsha) 11. Effrakata (Great album! One thing: When Bouro Mpela returned during Force de frappe, I went crazy like "Hey! Bouro's back! lol") 12. Affaire D'Etat (Great album by Q.L. Songs like Piwawa, Tendrement, Juif Noir, Danao and Calvaire are top ones.) 13. Force de Frappe 14. Ngobila 15. Wake Up with Papa Wemba (Mi Amor, Dodo, Naomie are my favs. Great record!) 16. Tcha Tcho 17. Bord Ezenga Kombo (Good album, great memories, my sophomore year of high school. I used to think him having Cindy was so annoying to me lol. She can sing tho) 18. Ngounda (Beginning of Koffi. Good songs like Farousci) 19. Diva (Bennie is my fav song of this album) 20. Danger de Mort (It was okay album, the final days of 2nd Q.L. same year Fally release Droit Chemin earlier) Additional to the list 21. 13eme Apotre (Having a hard time listening 39 songs. It was hard to catch up but a good album.) 36

Beevans Rappa from Koffi Olomide before Mboshi and Somono. I always thought that he was good too. We all know he his ataluku style was copied from Ekokota

Where did you find these pictures? What are the sources from? We don’t see a lot of koffi’s pictures from back in the day on online. True, maybe she joined in early 1995. Very rare! 39

The only thing I know is that musicians always come with 2 or 3 song when they prepare a group-album and some songs being released years later. . That's also why for example many former Maison Mere know a some songs that Ferre Gola released in his solo albums already (Court Ciruit, Vieux Jaloux and co), because were already sung and prepared in rehearshals at La Zamba Playa. The folkloric song Mamu of Sam Tshintu that they sung in Academia, was also already prepared in Quartier Latin and some verses being sung in concerts when performing Shambouyi. How come Sam was left behind between Europe tours in 1994-1995? We would've love to see Sam, Modogo, Babia and Eric in Magie clips. It would've been so perfect. 41

Congolese Music / Re: I haven't recieved an item from FANSOFCONGO.COM!« on: July 31, 2020, 05:29 »Then, what you need to do is simply logging into your PayPal account, start a complaint process in the account for not receiving your item. This option was in the resolution center of your account before, I don't know where it is now but it's somewhere there. You write down what's your issue, submit the complaint, and very likely PayPal will give the money back. Provided 4 months is still inside the complaint time limit after the purchase. I found the resolution center, but I don't know how to report there. It takes me to "filters". I don't know what to do. 43
