What are your top 5 emotional songs you've ever heard in Congolese music ? Or you can name me your favourite emotional song.

My one is Papa Wemba *Maman*. But i have few other emotional songs that gets to me like Carlyto & Malage *Calamite*, Pepe Kalle & Nyboma *Nina*, Koffi Olomide *non assistance* there's a lot from Koffi that are emotional that I like. There's so many to name but my favourite one is Maman by Papa Wemba.

Those songs make me feel emotional.

It's not only linked to the songs themselves but also the memories I have that are related to these songs.
I'm sorry but I'll have to cheat a little bit: 5 is too small.

I wasn't able to make a top 5. Here's my are my 16 favorite emotional songs

Lutumba's most underrated song. Sung by Papa Wemba. Its about a girl getting graduated at the secondary school, but looking for her mom. Who left when she was a little kid. I know I friend who gets always emotional when he hear this song.

Song dedicated to Claudia Sasou mother Lily Kaniki

This version of Maboko Pamba is better than the album-version

I like the piano version

song dedicated to Emenya ex'wife Liliane Mwanga

I like Felly Tyson's intro with the guitar and the public reacting "nooo", when Koffi said "nzoto na nga yango oyo, ezo tanga makila"

This version is better than the one recorded in 1986, but the bass isn't played. Its crazy that Koffi focused on erasing Depitcho's vocal, mabanga's to Zingeti le Rascaback and some parts of Ocean, but not on mistakes of instrumentalists.

Fi-Carre's guitar and the keyboard of Desire Kalala made it feel special, by far better than the cd version. Also top message from Werrason "ko juger moto na mosika ezali mabe".

One of Reddy's most underrated songs

So sad that this song hadn't alot succes. I like the vocal he dedicated to Pepe Kalle

Franco recording this song, when one of his musicians spread that he contracted AIDS, that he was about to die and already made a testament, which hurted Franco alot and also the way people in Kinshasa were spreading everytime rumors that he passed away. Franco really sounded emotional in this song.

One of Fally's best song

Ndule Award voting it as best song of 2009, created some contreversy.

For me Koffi had to release this version in Loi instead of the original version of  SOS

If anyone wants to really get in their feelings, play Pres du Coeur first then instantly follow it up with Kidiamfuka. Like, one second between the two songs. It works for me.

1. Nicky Di of Werra
Nikide of Werra and

Nikide Remix of Werra

Abeti Faux of Héritier

Temps Perdus even though I don't ever listen to that song cause is just too weird

Then J'Suis La by JB a masterpiece and Nickson Lleya by Ferré, I talked about only modern artist because going back to Franco and Tabu Let and Pepe Kalle there would be too many great songs, which I would include but. I will stuck with modern ones only.
