Congolese Music / ONE OF MY FAVOURITE SONG WITH CALUDJI SINGING
« on: August 24, 2016, 21:45 »

If you take every song of this album it is instant classic after istant classic,on this song we can hear how versatile Caludji can be, the crazy fact is that he doesn't changes his voice has many atalakus do when they sing, but he does the same voice same intonation and got away with it in a Rumba very good choice by Richard Mukena. The guy that stop his Wenge and Music career because her now wife didn't want him to go with that life.
2:38 Caludji singing.

Congolese Music / BERCY MWANA SAID NSONE DOESN'T PAY
« on: August 23, 2016, 23:04 »

Wow you didn't know it? When I said that Héritier knows how to treat his employees better than Werra I meant this, this is the reason Wenge MMM acting childish, with people, even though I don't like Bercy Mwana as an Atalaku I can understand why he left, you don't treat people this way, Kimbangu, Gemerose and all those guys who had no money for living SMH.
In short he said that even though he wanted to stay in Wenge he went back to Férre because Werra instead of paying him he was making gifts, and he doesn't need cars or other gifts, because he have kids and they need to eat so he couldn't make a serious commitment in Wenge without a salary.
The journalist asks him about the armbrand of Bill and the fact that Bill took that Armbrand away he said that he doesn't care anymore armbrand are for little kids and he is (his words) the chief of all the Congolese and African information,to him Bill is done since he became a leader. About other atalakus he said that Lobeso is a brother and Brandon (son of Mimi Chikeva don't know if it is true) and he said "the guy who sings like my pal Brigade?", And add that he is his son and he already copied a couple of times.

Congolese Music / FUSEE VS GENTA
« on: August 22, 2016, 11:30 »
JB had a huge luck in the atalaku section, on the begining of BCBG he had the chance to work with a guy like Caludji and then Genta, with the time he have seen really talented guys like Cellulaire (RIP), Matelo Pajo and Ben Laden, until God blessed him again with a charismatic and powerful atalaku called Fusèe de Guerre, even though the guys after Genta were good for a reason or another they were never able to take the second spot for a long time, and this really advantaged Fusèe that now is on his way to become on of the best atalaku ever.
To you basing on this two videos who is better now Fusèe or Genta?
To Fusèe Mpunda was the best crie of Genta and Wenge BCBG in general and he said that his plans were to make a better generique than Mpunda, and after Kiyunguzuna where he sung a little bit he gave us Bebé, Bilonda and Tetuka on Je Ne Te Calcule Pas, to you Fusèe really overtake Genta or Genta is still the number one atalaku on BCBG?
For what I have seen in Balle De Match Fusèe won but thinking about the past and thinking about songs like Mpunda, Biloko, Pelisa Ngwasuma, Kiyunguzuna and so on Genta won big time.

Congolese Music / SPEAKING OF BAD SONGWRITERS
« on: August 22, 2016, 11:21 »
This song was in the Techno Malewa saga on the volume 2 and even though he was a beutiful signed by Papy Kakol, like most of the songs was written by a songwriter.
A few days ago we spoke about the fact that good songwriters aren't giving their songs anymore due to bad paying and that Reddy Amisi almost wanted to kicked out a guy because of his writing, and listening to this song I have to agree, the line that killed the song was "Etas-Unis D'Amerique, botika kolanda Bin Laden bolanda nde bolingo, yende terroriste 'a monene abomisa batu ebele" which means USA stop follow Bin Laden, he is a huge terrorist who killed a lot of people, at 0:53 showing you how much the level of songwriting dropped.

Congolese Music / SWAHILI LEGACY...
« on: August 21, 2016, 19:25 »
I have thought that in congolese music is not hard to hear songs that are mixed with kikongo or tshiluba, but is very hard to hear it mixed to swahili, and it is hard to find a congolese swahili guy who makes music in swahili, it easier to find them away like in Kenya or Tanzania.
I don't understand why Swahili is a good language llike the other three and tanzanian and kenyan guys who sings in a mix way in Swahili and English sell a lot, so why in Congo there aren't many big bands of Swahili origin or that makes music in Swahili.
If you run down there are some music made in Swahili.

Remmy Ongala (Congolese but then moved to Tanzania)

Shilole (Tanzania)

Sauti Sol (Boybend from Kenya)

Congolese Music / TABU LEY OR FRANCO LUAMBO
« on: August 19, 2016, 10:46 »
To you who was the guy that influenced Congolese music more, Tabu Ley was the most known and loved artist, who did classics like Mokolo Nakokufa and Kaful Mayay while Franco was a bit of a rebel, brave enough to sing songs like Jackie but also intelligent and wise to sing songs like Mbongo and Mario.

Congolese Music / NICODEM INTERVIEW

When Mascara came out a lot of people despite the success said that on the artistic level was nothing special, and you might agree or not, but going back to the Fabregas's song once outside of Wenge with Tshimoke he really made a very good small generique, even though comparing it to the success of Mascara had a very little success.

Congolese Music / BILL & KIMBANGU SOLO EXPLOSIVE COMBINATION
« on: August 17, 2016, 17:17 »
The video is really creepy, taking that away the music is really good, Kimbangu on the lead solo with Bill and his atalakus on the cries, even though is not on the level of Solola Bien, really shows you what Bill was capable of when he was on top of his game, things starts to getting serious at 5:42 Kimbangu sakana

Congolese Music / KABUYA SITUATION
« on: August 17, 2016, 17:00 »
Last time I have seen Kabuya is in an interview where he was really drunk and was basicly saying that drinking and smoking weed give you "puissance" (the power) to write cries and making music, it is hard to see a guy like him who should  battle with Fusée for doing the best cries in the generique reduce himself in this way. Do you think that Fally will help him again or he is just sick of him and he will kick him away like he did with leader espoir?
In anycase I just hope that Kabuya stops drinking because he has two sons and a father really can't let that the alcohol leads his life
