A video recently posted by Lesasa Jocker, the head of the band in Dubai. Very nice keyboards, and stunningly clean vocals. I rarely hear so clean vocals live.
I would like to inform every member that I managed to negotiate with Mboka Liya to teach people Congolese guitar online. Lessons are available on Zoom, the price at the moment is £35 per hour. He can teach you any song, any guitar part that you request. Payment by PayPal or Wire Transfer. If interested, send me a private message here in the forum and I get you connected.
I am watching this video, and I can hear a bass line but there seems to be no bassist. Was it the keyboardist who played the bass line too, or it is only that the bassist did not fit the video screen? Was anyone present to confirm?
The site will be down around the 12th of July for a few days due to maintenance tasks. As soon as we finish, the forum will be back. Thank you for your patience! Sorry for the inconvenience!
I was discussing a video with Mfumu Vata a year ago or even more, and the conclusion was that the concert video I was looking for was missing from Youtube. Luckily, it has been placed back, not even long after the discussion, but I have noticed it just now. So here is it, in case anyone else would be interested. It includes very good moments from Petit Poisson:
This guy uploaded a video, but it has many errors, it seems to me these are digital errors of the capturing device when they imported the stuff from tape. I would like to ask him if he has the tape of this:
(the clip was originally posted on INA Congo channel by the Ingénieur but it has been taken down)
He is repeating the name of this village all the time in songs titled Racines, and he even has a video visiting it. So I guess that is where he grew up, but in the videos it seems it doesn't exist any more, and he wants to rebuild it. It seems do me as if he is talking about that Ngouabi was born in that village too. What is the truth about these things? Is this all just a legend, and that place never even existed, or it was his birthplace indeed?
