Its was created by Isiro1er & 12 Balles and their traditional band Mbonda Loningisa. The cri/dance made them getting voted as best traditional band of the year. All bands of Kinshasa (Big Stars, Quartier Latin, Wenge Musica, etc.) ended up by adopting the animation. But because of Defao being the first of the big bands to animate the cri and promote it alot in other songs makes many people think that he created it.
Isiro 1er and 12 Balles would end up by splitting after the succes of their dance and cri and 12 Balles after the split create the dance/cri Vandila et got once again adopted by all bands (Wenge 4x4 , Empire Bakuba, etc.) . Empire Bakuba would this time become the popular with that cri.
