Very far in terms of?

Legal Battles , Street Confrontations or revealing  some damaging secrets?

I came across this on youtube

2:03 to 6:00

Clearly shows Alain Makaba was ahead of Time Music wise, though I personally feel he doesn't get the credit and respect he deserves .

That Chemistry Between Alain Makaba, Roberto Ekokota and Titina pretty much explains why alongside JB Mpiana they were the only Wenge Musica artistes to Feature on Pile ou Face.

Good Stuff this.
Only Face Missing is Alain Makaba and the Dream team would be complete at that dinner table.
I watch stuff like this and I just ask myself, Where did it all go wrong??

This was the Best Modern day Band to ever emerge From Africa.
All the Same '"BCBG 4X4 is the BEST of the World"

you forgot evoloko and ya jossart, maybe even add gina wa gina

Yeah, they started early then Koffi Olomide, but aren't on the same level. Gina had for example just 2 years of fame, then became sick and made a comeback later and disappear after 2 years when he decided to settle in Europe. That's also why he keep arguing with Jossart when there are Zaiko Anniversary-concerts. Evoloko is a big talented musician, but don't see him as a real legend.

Jossart is long active in the game, but that's also because of being lucky that he had Meridjo, Oncle Bapius, Zamuangana and Dindo Yogo on his side after the split of 1988 who were big songwriters. Ask someones a big hitsong from  Ya'Noch after 1995 and they will say no, except pure Zaiko-fanatics. He also never released a solo album on his name. But I've still alot respect for him and like some of his songs from the 80s (for example Paiement Cash, SVP Mbey and Pa-Oki
RIP to the Legend,
There's Also Josky Kiambukuta, I hope he is coping well wherever he is, been a while since I heard of him, anyone has any Info?
About Jossart, He is a certified Legend and also the fact that he has no actual albums as you say yet he still remains relevant is the beauty about  it.
I also Feel Old 'Benz' Bozi Boziana is among the most underatted Congolese Music Legends in terms of vocalists. I donno about his status in DRC but his Music during his hey day was appreciated here in Kenya.

I've been following this group for a while (like 3 years now) but last evening I finally got to join the Forum as an active member and I must say I appreciate most of the work posted here. Often informative and entertaining

Reading this rather informative piece, I'm a bit nostalgic because I still have sort of never gotten over the Original Wenge Musica 4x4 Tout Terrain, Les Ange Adorables.  I really feel bad this group had to split. The INVINCIBLES of 4th Generation Congolese Rhumba. ;D (I'm from Kenya though)

However after the split I found myself aligned to WENGE BCBG though I still rated and do like, rate and respect Werrason, Adolphe and Didier Masela

But every time I see how Wenge BCBG has sort of remained stagnant after the release of Titanic album. Yes there have been some good releases Like Tojours Humble and some good singles here n there,e.g  Mpunda, Je ne te Calcule pas but in all honesty...
I don't see any other BCBG team that will match the class and talent of the team that performed at BATACLAN in December 1998, which in my opinion is the best ever Wenge BCBG concert ever.

JB Mpiana
Alain Makaba
Blaise Bula
Roberto Ekokota
Alain Mpela
Aimelia Lyasse
Tutu Calluigi
Titina Mbwinga
Burkina Faso
Patient Kusangila

being the Core members, the key players.

This was the winning team, and I feel the day the first member left, I think it was Roberto "Concrete mixer" Ekokota albeit because of health issues left. The team has never been the same again.
