Hello guys,
Im new to this forum & first of all i would like to say hello to You all.
My topic is about scans of congolese albums booklet. Last week I was looking for a
Cd shop to buy some great old albums (attentat, loi, danger de mort, bek, force de frappe & monde arabe of koffi, internet of jb, kibuisa & a la queue leu leu of werra, tremblement de terre of defao)
And all of theses cds can not be found in any cd shop (i live in paris).
I could find some koffi albums but with the rereleased by the label "suave" (only one page booklet, not the original ones).
And I needed to bought thoses classics albums to see the photography & the exact credits (voices, guitar, drums ect). So please if you get thoses scans, please share it to all of us.
Thank y'all.

Defao's Tremblement de Terre has like Guerre de 100 Ans and Feux de l'Amour who were produced by SIMON/SIPE Production 1 page.

There many booklets of Koffi Olomide albums on discogs, but not those who you want. I had alot of Koffi Olomide, Werrason, JB Mpiana, Extra Musica, Wenge 4x4, Defao, Academia, Karmapa, Fally Ipupa, Ferre Gola & Felix Wazekwa's cds, but you know how Congolese people are if they are coming to your home hahahahahahaha.
Here you get the booklets of Stephie, Pas de Faux Pas, Magie, Noblesse Oblige, V12, Ultimatum & Droit de Veto. Iguess that they were uploaded by Natalie Geslin (Koffi Olomide's ex'manager), who worked longtime for the Sonodisc-recordlabel.

^ Indeed, African record stores are extinct and it's sad. Online just isn't the same

I think Noblesse Oblige is the best ever CD booklet, absolutely all you ever wanted to know about that album is in the booklet.

What I like from the V12-booklet is that the songs Parking Ya Baba (Parking des Sourdes), Fouta Djallon, Etat Civil, Dossier du Jour, Aspirine, Nouveau Testament, Miss Tutsi, Bambino & Zokere are translated in French for his fans of Ivory Coast, Gabon, Cameroon, Mali and the other French/African were he had a huge fanbase. Since that his fans of those countries always wanted to know about he sung in his love-songs, since the days of Henriquet and in V12 they got finally the chance. I also liked the way he explained in short how and where he wrote the Andrada and Miss Tutsi.

One of my favorite booklets is Papa Wemba's Fula Ngenge. Where they gave the credits of guitarits, singers, drummers, songwriter, etc. on each song. Because in the past there used to be alot of discussions in the nganda's about who played the lead-guitar/bass/drums, etc. I thought that Koffi Olomide, Werrason, JB Mpiana, etc. would follow that example in the next albums, but they didn't. I guess that Papa Wemba came to that idea after seeing that on the booklets of big American and European artists, where they always give the credits of each song in details. Sonodisc/Sono/Next Music were for me the best African-musiclabel in making album-booklets, but I never understand why Wemba's Somo Trop didn't have one.

Welcome to the forum GP, I actually like album booklets nowadays even physical  albums don't have it. It's good to see who did what and the pictures.

It's very rare to see a Quartier Latin-member being credited as one of the arrangers. It always Koffi Olomide himself or him with Philiphe Guez or whole the whole band. Pas de Faux Pas was the only album were a Quartier Latin-member was credited as arranger (Do Akongo & Rocky Blanchard). Seeing Mbetenge Domingo credited as arranger made me wonder if the most part of Danger de Mort was recorded in Kinshasa. Because Mbetenge didn't participate to the Europe-tour (2005/06) and JC Tshituka is based in Kinshasa.

those typing error are terrible, thats crazy. thats a lack of proffesionalism, "bourgman", "boureau mpela", "soleil vanga" (they also forfet soleil's name in chants credits).
The album sound really miss the phillipe guez's touch, its crazy how this album could be the best ql's one, the team was incredile (the main team :
montana, fally, soleil, gypson, junior, tyson, binda, fofo, apoca, brigade, nseka plus "the star" from maison mere ferre plus shella mputu suka na chant from tonya tonya plus the return of the "o.gs" modogo & mboshi plus the return of the great bouro mpela plus some new fresh blood (asso  mirage mbetenge poumpa bourman mukusa ya mbua) then plus a ql kept secret arca diniero.
irronically, skol longitima maxi & the 2k5 tour promised some great stuff. To me its look like a "forced album", by the way theres some great "bords", especially ba lobiens, thats a v12 type song to me & divisé par 2.

it was a pleasure to share those images with y'all, i never seen the physical cd, even the back cover, let me know about your impressions of this album & if u go scans, do not hesitate to share thoses wit us.

Merci mingi Grand prêtre

Regarding the typos - they gave it to a French guy to type up. That’s the only way I can justify that

Yea, it’s clear a very large portion of the album was done in Kinshasa

I’d be awesome if a moderator can make this thread pinned so we can use it as a reference.

lol @mvulusi ; yea folks, even family used to steal my CDs all the time, smh.

Here’s Droit de veto. It has to be said Koffi was the best at album covers for group albums - the way everyone got a page showcase and photos
