If I remember well Damien Aziwa did once an interview around 2012/13 and said that when he started his band in Kinshasa, his ex'wife who was French wasn't happy that he spent months there and filled for divorce. Living between Paris and Kinshasa wasn't helping either, because everytime when he would return back to Kinshasa, he had to start over again, because big bands were recruiting his keymembers, which was discouraging him.

There are people defending her. But most comments are not positive.

When I saw the intro, I taught that she was one of dancers that came this year with Zaïko to Europe. But after taking time to watch, I discovered that she’s actually part of Feeling/Eureka team. Hearing her say that she started dancing at age of 14 means that she was still a minor when she came a few years later to Europe

It used to be YouTube but disappeared for 7 or 8 years

I believe that he wants to mock us for not having these videos in our possessions anymore

That’s Chily. A French rapper of Congolese origin. He recently performed at Zénith and Ferre invited him for his shows at Adidas Arena & AccorArena.

Will it not create problems for Kisindjora to come to Europe in the future, for the way Tarou Buange exposed her. In this video Tarou Buange explains how he started to sell drugs in Kinshasa. Also how people from Europe introduced him into selling cocoaine and heroine. He also talks about his clients and how Manicke got even more addicted than Babia, etc.

I don't remember which musicians it was exactly, but the person said that before working on this project, Debaba had made several statements in the press saying that if the project flopped, he would stop with music. At the same time, he was being linked to a  return to Viva la Musica in Europe. Shortly after it, Debaba became a born-again Christian, starting preaching and doing gospel-music.

Talking about this project. Does anyone know the name of this album? I  saw these two clips on two or three different compilation-videos, but I never knew from which album they came. I've been looking it more than 20 years. Was it an album that was only released in Zaïre, like some of Defao’s rare cassettes? Or was it never officialy released ?

Adolphe shouldn't have listened to gossip about Lacoste being big headed, because he risked everything by leaving Wenge Musica Masion Mere to follow Tata.

I don't believe that things would have changed much if Lacoste had stayed, because things were already going downhill while he was still around. From their return to Kinshasa till Lacoste's departure. It's true that Lacoste's arrival in Tonya Tonya created some buzz and boosted them even more, but Tonya Tonya had already succes when they started 2–3 months before he joined

If you could pinpoint exactly where things went downhill, where do you think Adolphe lost momentum beyond repair? Was it just too competitive at the time between the branches of Wenge for there to be BCBG, Masion Mere, and Tonya Tonya? Because they had to also contend with the orchestra of Papa Wemba and Koffi Olomide Olomide as well.

I feel like Felix Wazekwa put a self-imposed ceiling on potential of Cultural Pays Vie by refusing to play the politics of the industry, which cost him Stade de Martyrs and other prestigious concerts in Europe until Olympia. But by then, 5eme was already going and that was pretty much his plateau of popularity

After Olympia, many musicians were unhappy about not being paid for the tour and wanted to stay in Europe. Just before returning to Kinshasa, there were rumors that some musicians were planning to run away. At the same time, different spokespeople in Kinshasa were making noise about the event that had to take place at  Stade des Martyrs. However, rumors started to circulatethat the show might be cancelled, as Adolphe had lost some of his aura/hype.

Lacoste then returned to Kinshasa with the musicians, while Adolphe stayed behind in Europe to look with staffmembers for the musicians who had run away. But he sadly returned to Kinshasa on his own

The Stade des Martyrs concert ended up by getting cancelled, which caused Adolphe to lose even more of his aura. They performed at GHK, but according to the press, the concert flopped. The same was said about the concerts that followed in Brazzaville.

Several articles were  published in the following weeks claiming that things were not going well for Tonya Tonya. There were also reports people weren't showing up to the public rehearsals like it was before the Europe tour.

Lacoste then left somewhere in September 2002 to rejoin Werrason. Around the same time, Adolphe recruited three dancers from Koffi Olomidé, which I believe was an attempt to counter the buzz surrounding Lacoste’s departure. He also contacted Jordan Kusa to join, but Jordan refused. At the same time , there rumors about Washington joining Quartier Latin (which also happened later). However, none of this really changed the situation of Wenge T.T.. Around the same period, many people who had been part of Adolphe’s circle also returned to Maison Mère like Lacoste. It was like they cursed Adolphe

Last weekend, I was watching with friends different shows of JB Mpiana from the 2001-02 period and we were discussing if JB Mpiana’s concert at Elysée Montmartre after Bercy was orginally a Plan B in the case Bercy would get cancelled

A few months before JB Mpiana’s show at Bercy, there were rumors that the concert would get cancelled because of the deposit not being paid, but nothing happened and the show was maintained. After that the story of 9/11 came and rumors about musicians not getting visas. Despite all those problems, JB Mpiana still managed to perform at Bercy

The thing that brought me to the question about Elysee Montmartre being a plan B, was that at the time, there were no Congolese artists that performing following week after doing a Zénith de Paris or Bercy. They would usually wait one or two months before doing a second show in Europe, mostly starting with Brussels or Geneva. While JB Mpiana did immediately another show after and it took place in Paris, not another European city.

Talking about the Elysee Montmartre-show, it was among the last shows of Titina Al Capone within Wenge BCBG. They performed the following week at LA Madeleine in Brussels and went to Canada without him. According Titina, they travelled to Canada without informing him. While people of BCBG's camp claim that Titina decided to stay in Europe. Wenge BCBG on their side,  were supposed to perform in Switzerland after the Canadian tour, but something went wrong during the stopover, which resulted in them being arrested and deported to Kinshasa
