It is not his first time to borrow a rap (animation)  from Wenge Musica .I draw your attententin to " tikisala ya mata" rap (I'm not sure if it written correctly ) in his libre parcours' dance. The rap and the dance (though slightly modiefied)  is from Wedge.
He made a great dance to watch.

Congolese Music / Re: Jitrois & Ado Yuhe part 2
« on: July 26, 2021, 15:59 »
A standard Ado Yuhe interview goes like this:

1. Swear that you will say the truth.
2. How did you enter a certain group / band?
3. Who did you find in the band?
4. Mbote ebimi.
5. Did you earn a salary while there?
6. Were you allowed to mix with dancers? Were there couples? Did you have eyes for a particular dancer? Depending on the answer, mbote ebimi.
7. Mbote ebimi again.
8. Mukombochi (juice drinking) session or cake.
9. Shout outs.

End of interview.

Papy Cocaine going like this:

Ooh ngai nayebi Kin te, nayei Kinshasa lelo - Ooh I don't know Kin, I have come to Kinshasa today
Sofele kumba ngai na Gambela ezalaka wapi yango? - Driver, ferry me to Gambela, where is it at?
Kingasani to Masina ee... - Kingasani or Masina
Badalungwa to Kintambo aah Nzambe! - Badalungwa or Kintambo aah God!

Abala, abota te - She is married but hasn't given birth
Abota, abala te - Has given birth but isn't married
Mpo na nini? - Why?
Abwaka muana na mayi ya Kalamu - She threw her child in Kalamu River
Libabe elandaka ye - A curse / bad luck follows her
Basoldat balandaka ye- Soldiers are pursuing her
Bapolisi balukaka ye - Police are looking for her.

One day, I will do a thread on Zaiko animations. I find them catchy and unique because they sound like nursery rhymes ;D

Flamme supposedly talking about a Flamme who died long time ago as he puts it. He even refused to play the famous Kibuisa partition owing to his newly found faith.

The anecdote about Adolphe during their concert of Strasbourg cracked me up. Apparently, it was during the period when tensions between Tata and Werra were at an all time high. During concerts, it was the group's agreed strategy that whenever the crowd seemed non-responsive during a show, Tata would come up with something to hype up the crowd. This time around, the band was playing Tata's song with a sebene which was sweet. In line with the strategy, Tata decided to undress leaving only his trousers and went into the crowd half naked. On seeing this, Werra with a view of embarrassing him, ordered the music to be stopped leaving Tata with his huge tummy in the middle of the congregation. What was most humiliating was the fact that the podium was high up and he needed someone to hold his hand up to climb back on stage and no one offered to help him; forcing him to hoist himself up half naked back on stage and left the show angry as hell.  ;D ;D ;D

Congolese Music / Re: RIP HAMED BAKAYOKO
« on: March 12, 2021, 14:59 »
Bakayoko is a name that's very common in Ivory Coast like Traore, Toure and Kone. I think that you've also alot of Bakayoko, Kone, Toure and Traore's in Guinee, Mali and Burkina Faso.

Hamed Bakayoko himself used to be a journalist beside his politic activities. He worked for Radio Nostalgie and Nostalgie Afrique who both contributed alot to the promo of Congolese music in Ivory Coast. He used also to be head of Mayama Production that was often bringing Wenge BCBG (1998, 1997), Koffi Olomidé, Papa Wemba, Wenge Musica 4x4, Extra Musica, etc. to Abidjan.

Hence why he used to get alot shout-outs in Congolese songs of the 90s along  Yves Zogbo Junior, Idriss Diallo and Consty Eka of Cameroun. Koffi Olomide used to be his best friend from all Congolese artists. You will notice that in 90s before the civil war, Koffi was coming in Abidjan, often 2 months after releasing a new album and Mayama Production always producing it. From 1991 to 1998 he used to organize with journalist Junior Zogbo and Consty Eka the AfriCar Awards (Africa & Caraibes) who were at that time the biggest awards in Africa, bringing also stars like Naomie Campbell. After the civil-war in Ivory Coast he became the minister of Minister of New Information and Communication Technologies until 2011, from 2017 until 2021 he was the minister of Defense and mayor of Abobo on the same time. Last year he became Prime Minister of Ivory Coast, replacing Amadou Gon Coulibaly
who died from a heart-attack. It has been said that both guys were poisned by Ouattara. Last year there was alot contreversy around Hamed's name, after that Vice made a documentary about drugtrafficking in Western Africa, claiming that Hamed Bakayoko was the biggest drugtrafficker in Ivory Coast.

This is very informative. Used to hear that name in so many songs.

May his soul rest in peace. Amen.

The Antoine Misissa cri that Vieux Nyoka did not want incorporated in the album until Dodou Adoula had to convince him that his real name (Dodou) was Antoine and indeed had misisa (veins) on his leg for Nyoka to agree. ;D ;D

Those were the days of real music and real polemic.

Most secular artistes would struggle to reach this level. Just listen to this piece.

Congolese Music / Re: This Zaiko sebene is so underrated
« on: January 28, 2021, 15:27 »
Bidjana was living in Marseille with his ex'wife and children at that time, which is far in the south of France. It was difficult for him to come every week to Brussels to rehearse with them and having each month, but he was still in the band.

Papy Cocaine was really about to go back to Kinshasa, but his wife didn't want him to go back (his wife really loves him, I remember how she used to complain about him going clubbing with JF Ifonge and another musician in Brussels, them always arguing about that and her at some point locking Papy up in his bedroom).

Could it be the reason he animates in the song: 'mwasi ya Papy Cocaine alingaka kaka emission matata...soki nalobi te, alobaka nga nalobi likambo...soki nameli te alobaka nga nameli masanga'?  ;D ;D
