It is long time Werrason has toured this part of East Africa, with current commotions perpetrated by "combatants" in Europe, it implies there are none of them in Europe currently, however, sad enough nothing is done by promoters from Tanzania and Kenya to lure Le Phenomena to perform in these places, we have heard and seen concerts of Igweee performed in Angola and Nigeria over recently, why not in Kenya and Tanzania?

I know the FM radios and TVs have been hijacked by young generations who prefer kind of hip hops blended styles commonly referred as "Bongo Fleva", however, the large sect of local East Africans still adore the Le Phenomena, this is conspicuously evidenced by imitation or "copy and paste" of some beats, atalaku, dancing styles, or music sections by local bands, and these youngsters of Bongo Fleva.

We need to do something, this is our time, while the Europe market has stagnated.

This one reminds me of Little Red Riding Hood Story. Pity!

I think there is no commercial interests to perform "collabo" with old guns who are past their prime time at current time, that one should have been done couple of years back.

Going to Yankees, It is two fold, first trying to copy with current waves of African musicians who have stormed the America market , especially, after success stories of west African artistes, in particular  from Nigeria, who have reaped a lot in terms of revenues. It is very sad, penetration strategy to the lucrative market in USA has came very late for artistes from Congo, otherwise, they could have been in the high levels as compared to Nigeria artistes. It is kind of things Koffi Olomide was always complaining, that they  were not getting much publicity from USA media and therefore had no chance to share USA music market, however, instead of coming with proper strategies to penetrate the market they ended up complaining only. These kind of "collabos" in one way to another may help them to accomplish their missions. Some times we need to be frank, our music market in Africa  is very thin, unregulated with a lot of challenges in terms of copy rights, which denies hefty income to African artistes.

USA music market is very lucrative and one may reaps huge dividends if  managed to scrape through like Nigerians. USA market is real, has any one seen Obama dancing to the tunes of Lelele lelele of Werrason? have a look on this one:

Secondary, I thinks it is the effects of  "Combatants" who creates havoc in Europe during  music tours for Congolese musicians, the European market no longer  fetch bumper harvest as in the past, it is very pity and sad, and it is no surprise Nigerians, who were novices in music industry has toppled Congolese nowadays , cause, the European market has been frozen, and  there is no way you can sell music products without  live shows  and kind of related promotions.

SLY it is not always like that Am a fan of  Ferre Gola  and Werrason music  and Arsenal as well . Werrason should come to Tanzania now it has been a long ago.

This is what is called cleverly thieving by African musicians, could someone post the song called LIBALA of Werrason in Satelite Album and compare the commencing beats with that of Dogo Asley, and yet this little guy is seen as the best and up coming musician in East Afrika. Thieving ! Thieving ! Thieving !

This????

They sound NOTHING alike this is Taarab music!!!  >:(

Listen carefully on the chorus and the beginning beats, I mean in the first part of Libala,  they are completely replica with the beats of Dogo Asley.

You know what , now days, Taarab music  or what they call Modern Taarab is the hot cake in East Africa and in particularly in Tanzania, but if you listen carefully on the sebene beats , you will find parts of beats have been copied from Congolese beats, to make it danceable, otherwise in the past Taarab was kind of music like soap opera, where people would convene in the auditorium theater and listen to the sophisticated and complex messages from Taarab music.

or you may listen this one of Dully Sykes

Where is it from?

Yes, Mr. Tunutu you are absolutely right I could not disagree any more with your comment.

That is the very valid observation is he the only musician in Congo who have the legitimate license to use young musicians? Are other musicians not allowed to use the youngsters? Why they are rising to stardom when they play in WMMM? and vanish into oblivion when they quit WMMM?

And why till to date WMMM is still in the fore front and  is battling with the fifth generation of Congolese musicians? Why?

You may hate someone for what he is , but you need to acknowledge the best products or outputs come out of him.

You cannot tell some one is the best footballer cause is putting Nike Football Shoes and others are putting nameless football shoes. Instruments, studio and others are there to help us to shape our music, life , business etc.

But we need to cherish the ideas, the innovation that is what is making us happy whether one is average singer or extra ordinary choir singer. At least in Africa we are still nursing the craft works from people who have used their natural brains, in Europe music is simulated in computer programs, instruments and even vocals may be  direct made from recording studio. People may fill the concerts hall just for listening and dancing to play backs.

Sometimes life experience may be cruel, but if you are smart you may reap out of cruelty, you may remember Werrason and WMMM commenced from ground zero with nothing at their base after the greatest separation, but they reaped from what you refers as Polemic, it is the greatest asset for him and his group to propel, but it does not mean he hates his former mates.

Yes, I may not stop what to write and what to think what they think it is right, however, sometimes it turn so nasty someone is repeatedly commenting on the same thing on topics which do no relate with his awfully utterances.

We are tired of crappy and silly comments about Le Roi De La Forret Le Phenomena Igwee, Werrason , WMM and their fans alone,  please leave them alone, it not necessary for all of us to share the same menu and taste, if you think yours is the best, it is up to your taste buds and your big mouth. Records speak volume as well as tremendous track record in the business. When did little " Shwetani" left WMMM and where is today? is it flat dead like other groups?

Many good musicians worked and left their signature at  WMMM and they went to commence their career the likes of Didier Masela, Adolph Dominguez, JDT, Bill Clinton, Baby Ndombwe, Celeo, Kapaya, Aimelia Lyase, Kabose, Lacoste,  Kusangila, the recent ones the likes of Brigade Sabbatini, Fabrigas, but no none of them are so  sarcastically like the Shetwan's followers why? We have the saying in our home that the stones are always thrown to the tree with nice and glittering fruits, otherwise shut up your big mouths and shows respect to some one who has sacrificed a lot and nurtured many talents Congolese musicians to what they are today.

Some one who is even recognized by the UN for his noble works and protection of marginalized street kids in Congo, Some one who has continued to make Congo and Africans so famous in African Pop Culture in World Circles, have you ever seen the tape of Obama and other respectable dignitaries dancing  to the tune of Werra's tune? Just Google and you will be bamboozled with your hatred heart.

Some one who has been relieving us with world stress for more than two decades with miracle music, innovative danceable sebene, atalaku and dancing styles. Please, if your suitable and delicious food is some one who talk and talk from commencement of the  music to end, we have nothing to abuse your egocentric flavors,  it is what you like, PLEASE US ALONE!

Back to the topic, was this piece of posted work recorded in Tanzania? I can see the script TZ. But I appreciate to some extent Werrason voicehas been waning compared to those days, it might be due to providing more time on business and administration issues, some times it may be difficult to keep the same pitch of sound for more than two decades, unless you are following strict diet plan for keeping your voice intact. But, it is not correct that he is a bad singer no! no! no! Further, also  we can not say he is the excellent singer, no! no!

But is the best commander, best CEO, best General, who can make and combine resources to perform at best, he can make the brigades to wage the smartest battles and win at ease.

He can rise from ashes and make very gigantic fortress, he has done this several times with WMMM.

I can see now days his voice is coming back to as used to be in those old glory days, we are happily waiting for our usual delicious bread!

Congolese Music / Re: WERRASON PRESENTS HIS TROPHY
« on: May 06, 2014, 06:40 »
We have a saying in our place which states  'the one who yells has been hit with a stone' period!

Works talk and not big loud mouths !

Singing is just part of music components, if singing was a complete system by itself then people could be dancing to the tunes of choirs.

You need the best composer, arranger, creative genius, that is what Le Roy De la Forret is best atand has made him Toujour Leader.

Looks that you are  a young boy and your music library is short of great hits and nice melodies of Le Phenemona the likes of surprise kapangala and blandine etc where he showed the art of singing. Most of young guys can sing like Ferre but I have seen none who can imitate Werra's unique voice.

Records speak and not loud trash mouth !
