in short he says that he was taken to wemba by koffi olomide who knew him earlier and when he arrived along with lidjo kwempa and luciana papa wemba was looking to recover from the loss of king kester and the guys gone to create victoria, they came in with great contribution and for his own case he had to work harder to try filling the void left by kester(even if he considers himself a 1ere voix which people take as a 2eme because of his heavy and powerful voice) and he added his first song kotida in 1983 one year after joining
and he reacted to people claiming he was unfairly favorited by papa wemba and especially coming from other musicians, and he says papa wemba loved him because of his extreme dedication to work and overall to the cause of viva la musica against strong rivals like ok jazz, koffi ,zaiko and co
he reacted about the famous rant papa wemba had which was recorded by awilo longomba saying that musicians had been upset with payment in europe which became more difficult as they became 12 or 13 singers let along instrumentists and since papa wemba knew that he was seen as the favourite if he shouted at him in public other guys would stop moaning behind the scenes but he anticipated that and he did not come to that reunion where papa wemba said " whoever is not happy is free to leave, the door is open" and it lead to musicians created nouvelle generation,he told his little bro stino that he would not come to  a concert to belgium to show upset but stino should cover up for him since he knew all the songs and stino ended up not going too but it does not mean he was part of the creators of nouvelle generation
he says he did several albums because  papa wemba knew it was for the good of the group but also it was a way to appease musicians over salary issues and he does not understand why other viva musicians are jealous of him while they also had glory with their solo albums, its not his fault if they did not persist like him to release several albums in viva
and he gave advice to younger artists saying that the biggest secret of success are dedication, hard work, resilience, you have to keep trying until it works out hopefully one day and goes back again to his ex viva colleagues who criticize him behind the scenes saying if they had persisted like him they would have nothing to envy him and also replied to criticism over his extreme seriousness in work as he axed many viva members from his studio works for turning up late, and he says he finds it disrespectful from people to turn up hours late when you have agreed on something especially studio which is about timing and money
he was also asked about rumours that he sacrificed his younger brother who was stino's best friend By giving him his clothes, and he says those who say such things are narrow minded and like to find any reasons for people's success, yes he did give some of his clothes to his brother but his brother died one year later and if it was him behind the death under such circumstances the first people to suspect him would be his family and they'd say at cemetery that whoever did this must follow soon in graves and insist with a very serious face that no way on earth his family would have allowed him to get away with such thing  and that he loved his brother so much and they almost looked alike
he also reacted about the fact allegedly he is the one who told papa wemba not to go to kester's funerals and he says the way people are saying it is like he could give papa wemba order not to do something and that what happened is that papa wemba made those comments about dating kester's wife  which got a lot of kester fans and especially bandundu people angry and he heard people say in their native tongue that if papa wemba comes to funerals they'd attack him and humiliate him,so he  called papa wemba to warn him about the danger, not to tell him not to come,he just told him to be prepared should he come and anyways to be honest his security could not have handled it if he came
he was also accused of saying to people that koffi should not come to papa's funerals, and reminded people that papa wemba was saying it himself and alluded for example to the video papa wemba made after their forced meeting at lions club, and that papa was saying several times that with the level things reached between him and koffi,he would not go if koffi died and he would not want koffi at his funeral either, and reddy says that he called koffi when papa died and was crying and reminding koffi that its because of him that he knew papa wemba( which koffi mimicked ironically in an interview after he was hurt as he felt targetted by reddy in an interview saying some people did not like papa wemba but now that he is gone they will pretend they loved him) and that its because of his call that koffi briefly came to papa's house otherwise he was not welcome at all,but people should not say its because of him
he said he left viva because he felt he had  19 years in the group and had fulfilled many of his dreams  so he wanted to challenge himself in another direction and about his writing style he says guys like koffi or rochereau were very strong in love songs so he had to come with something different which was social life texts, advices...and it worked out well for him
he refused to say whether he gave songs to papa wemba or any viva guy and took a shot at people like wazekwa who like to say they wrote for papa wemba, for him its like belittling papa wemba, for him it should be kept secret
he was asked about the musicians complaining about him when coming back to kinshasa to mourn papa wemba and said why are they complaining about him he left viva 15 years ago at that time, they organized their thing badly, they should have contacted either each other of the france viva la musica team to organise something together or contact the viva of kin papa remained with but instead they just went to kin thinking its enough then are claiming he sidelined them while he performed with his group
they should realise he has moved on from viva even if he is linked for life to viva,so by the way people who are telling him to go and take presidence of viva by force it does not happen like that he has his group and they can collaborate on some projects but he has to be properly prepared
he was asked about smoking weed and said yes he has smoked in the past, people should know artist do not go from being babies to being old men in a blink of an eye,so they go through all steps "normal" people go through too,and about leaders dating dancers he says maybe its because the leaders do not trust people on tour abroad so its "safer" to date their dancers

This is the Reddy I like watching, not the annoying guy that just attacks his colleagues over Papa Wemba and letting his temper get the better of him.

Bomengo ata kala was a song for the future. Really says a lot about how the genre has dwindled in popularity and impact in the music world. They dont make such sounds anymore. Sad

Lol. My memory of Reddy Amisi growing up in the 90s was that my elder brother always had that Reddy hair cut we called it "bend cut" while my cousin and i would have the classic Madilu System "Table hair cut".
