I watched a King Kester Emeneya interview where he says the mabanga phenomena as we know it today began with this song for Willo Mondo.

How true is it?

@Manzambi I think it's a smart way too but again I think as an artist, you have to be creative in the way you mention the names or the song will be boring. Like the names have to rhyme with the other lyrics in a song. And yeah excess mabanga is not good.

So what really happens for the song owners if the song turns out to be a flop? Am sure there should some reparations one way or another. Do the song owners have a pre-recording listen to the song or its up to the musician to chose the best song for this or that donor? I have noticed that the likes of Tabou Fatou have some nice songs to their name whether be it by Ferre, Fally or JB Mpiana etc.

@Mvulusi96 @Archos

Would you say that the rampant rise in piracy gave rise to the mabanga phenomena as we know it today where artists have to pre-sale their songs before release whereas previously mabanga was not as monetised as it is today?

Thanks @Mvulusi96.
Here is the interview that Djoka Kabengele did I think in 2017. He confirms what you have stated above. I initially thought he was saying it (the fact that all those Disque D'or were fake) because he had fallen out with the likes of Mukulu.

At minute 19:55 seconds.

So does the YouTube views count also or its just the streaming from the streaming sites like iTunes, tidal etc?

Let’s see how long this time

lol with them, too much whisky in one night is enough to restart " tala celeo kuna ameli C4 aza jaloux","millionaire mais akokaka koya poto te,millionaire en franc congolais, kaka kolata bilamba ya turique " :D :D :D
Lol. And why is it that half the time Bill gives interviews is when he clearly has had a drink or two?

@Archos that kind of campaign is in every african country where the local artists always claim that foreign artists get paid way beyond what the local artists get. But I think this is just a lame excuse to reward mediocrity simply because someone is a local artist and ought to be paid better. I think artists either local or not should aim at giving their best when offered contracts to perform then the issue of who gets what will never arise. Not where a local artists is signed to perform and he comes drunk, doesn't keep to schedule, performs playback of three or four of his hit songs but expect to be paid wild amounts. I personally just laugh when I hear certain local artists advance this argument because it's neither here nor there. Local artists just ought to up their game and deliver quality performances and then better pay packages will flow their way unlike being cry babies all the time. Additionally you don't expect someone who has been flown in with all the travel expenses to get the same perks as a local artist who in most cases won't incur hotel, travel and other logistical expenses to get the same as a local artists.

1. Inch allah
2. Tendrement
3. Biblia
4. Calvaire
5. Tous Pepele
6. Affaire D'etat

his guys must face some responsability,he was already drunk and they made him drink even more and encouraged him to go fast and were happy with that motor sound of when you go hardcore....

Why do Motorbike fanatics like such stunts? There is a group i know here on facebook of bikers almost every month or so you hear one posting thanks for being there for me while i was in hospital (after the accident) or thanks to all of you who showed support during the funeral of so and so (biker) who died as result of a motorbike accident. Such stunts and add to that the alcohol and drug abuse is a sure suicide mission. Very sad.

What was he saying here?

Going at such speed in built up areas is suicide

So sad and what a painful way to die. Courage to his close family and friends.

This union of journalists will stop at nothing in their quest to make  Ferre look like a non-entity in Congolese music. I hope they are paid well for their campaigns. In this world of social media,  one doesn't need to go very far to verify some of these stories they carry. Do they think we are all damn? Lol

Why is Fally so insecure for someone with his level of success? Does he expect everyone to be singing praises of his success? Lol. One would think that being as successful as he is he wouldn't mind about people who are not on his level currently in terms of music success... The more reason why rumba music has gone down is because people like Fally who should be expending their energies about giving us good music that will last the test of time instead they worry about who is saying what against them even though that person is nowhere near them in terms of success. Mawa trop.

(back then and until today fally has the reputation of having success and his musicians living in conditions very very far from what should be the standard of  somebody of his level and him and kanza used to show another image )
This reminds me of the interview Marchouse did with Nadege Ibwakungu where he was asked that your friends (Fally's group) are touring in USA while your group is basically stuck in Kin with no tours and in answer Marchouse said "What USA tours when those musicians come back to Kin and cant even afford to rent a house for themselves, some of them even have to stay with their friends because they basically broke even while they just come back from tours". I thought its just the usual Marchouse controversial remarks.

By the way i didnt see the old guys of Fally's group i.e. Atele, Mopiwi, Kalombo, Felly Tyson and that other guitarist with locks where all nowhere to be seen on stage in Zambia. I could only recognise that short atalaku from ecole whats his name again Boloke? Don't know if they travelled and just didnt make the stage or not. Here is part of their performance.

I attended the first day of his shows where he performed for less than one hour thirty minutes max. Performed the following songs:Sweet life, Tout Le Monde danse, Ecole, Juste une danse, Original, Aime moi, Eloko oyo , Libre parcours 2. With Fally most of the time only concerned about taking short clips for his snapchat. I basically went to the show to accompany a friend of mine who is a huge Fally fan. He couldn't believe when i told him that those those musicians for all their efforts will most likely be paid $100 for the concert. Lol

Not only is Fabregas a terrible singer but he also has a hypocritical personality.

So this collaborates with what Durell Loemba said about how Extra Musica was formed. So Roga Roga claims that he created Extra Musica simply because his proposed name was the one that became accepted? Lol
