I don't think it's the same thing. Kendrick did not receive $ for shouting out the business) individual. In addition, I highly doubt that Kendrick knew the business on a intimate level to shout them out. It was simply for entertainment purposes to diss an opponent.
Very similar concept though. Small businesses cannot afford to have an artist shoutout them out. But the fact that he did there was business associated.
