Congolese Music / Re: MEET ALFONSO PREMIER THE NEW WENGE BCBG ATALUKU/RAPPER« on: July 15, 2015, 22:48 »Now the release date? Or are we just going to get teased. A conservative estimate would be July 2020. Let's just hope he doesn't get more song requests. Is Chemin de Fer ever gonna happen? He started talking about it after Internet and its been vapourware since. 5673
Congolese Music / Re: Wait I taught Ferre dosen't know any Fally songs???« on: July 15, 2015, 21:59 »
They very well may be, but public relations is not a strong suit of Ferre himself. Journalists contantly are able to get Ferre to show himself in bad light. He himself makes his polemiques worse. He needs an advisor to control what he says live.
So far we've heard nothing from Fally himself on this matter, hence why social media is labeling him vieux jaloux. 5674

It's time Ferre hire someone other than Marchouse to assist with PR work/image. He constantly finds himself on the loosing end of stick when it comes to polemiques.

Congolese Music / Re: WHY DIDN'T THIS ALBUM MAKE AIMÉ BUANGA BIG???« on: July 15, 2015, 01:46 »
It's unfortunate a lot of the guys who put out excellent music in the 90's & 2000's got little to no shine and have since been largely forgotten.
I have his other album "Engombi" playing frequently. Great sebenes and great sound for the time even though it was recorded in Kin live. Japonais, Kester, Luciana, Mboshi Lipasa featured. 5676
Congolese Music / Re: LACOSTE SAID HE PLANS 4 GRAND HOTEL CONCERTS IN A ROW« on: July 13, 2015, 15:44 »
This guy is his own biggest fan, huh? International album? After not making a big impact in WMMM, he's on cloud 9 all by himself with all his hit records. Who would show up to one GHK concert? What happened to Zenith?
Luckily for him Congolese music is donor-based rather, rather than album sales based. Then again, who are his big donors? 5677
Congolese Music / Koffi & Quartier Latin - LSC Christmas 2002« on: July 08, 2015, 15:17 »Koffi's version version of Dream Team, Dream Band right before Affaire d'Etat. The good ol' days now, unfortunately. I was in attendance for this concert and boy was it good. It had the energetic combo of Brigade/Bebe Kero and a good mix of songs. Koffi's and everyone else's vocals were on point. Guest appearance from Gina wa Gina. 5678
Congolese Music / Re: NEW KOFFI OLOMIDE "BLING BLING" CLIP OFFICIEL (13 EME APOTRE)« on: July 07, 2015, 23:52 »Going back to Maitre de Ecole!! Excellent album start to finish. Grown man rumba and grown man sebene at the end. It's rather unfortunate it's wasn't promoted more. 5679
Congolese Music / Re: KOFFI TO RELEASE ALL 45 SONGS IN 13EME APOTRE« on: July 07, 2015, 21:18 »
Oh jeez, couldn't bring myself to listen to the whole thing. I hate to get on the popular Koffi-phobe bandwagon here (no offense), but this is simply atrocious.
Shame, exactly 20 years ago, after the release of now classic Magie the Christmas before, V12 was eagerly awaited by us music fanatics and it boy did it deliver. Same can't be said about what he's gonna release. Its as if this is not the same guy. 5680
Congolese Music / Re: JEANETTE BOMBOLE DEAD????« on: July 04, 2015, 19:51 »
Wow, how unfortunate. Are the circumstances of her death know yet? I met her and Adam back in the late 90s. She was a beautiful woman.
