Gaz Mawete will perform at Stade 24 Novembre nowadays known as Stade Cardinal Malula on August 30th. The stadium has a capacity of 24.000 for soccermatches and around 40.000/45.000 when it comes to concerts. I don't believe that he will fill it even if it's for free. But good luck to him. Before that Stade des Martyrs was build, there different festivals taking place and also different artists having performed there (Papa Wemba, Trio Madjesi, etc.). But back then performing at stadiums wasn't really a thing like it would become after 1998. Like Stade de 20 Mai (nowadays known as Stade Tata Raphael) it would become a ruin. It's only recently that they started renovating the stadium, which was totally abandoned, but apparently it isn't finished yet.
